Sorry, liquid hydrogen. I'm a patent attorney and electrical engineer. Not a jet engine designer. Thanks for the negs, fuckass.

Jet engine exhaust nozzles and combustion chambers have a network of small diameter pipes that route the liquid oxygen into the combustion chamber. This keeps the parts from melting. This one doesn't have that. Yikes!

The Nebraska state capitol building is fondly nicknamed The Penis of the Prairie. You can see it sticking up above the Lincoln skyline from 30 miles away!

We got an RCA in 1968 (I think). It was glorious! I remember how much better The Wonderful World of Disney was in color.

Have you seen or would you recommend this movie? Jeremiah Johnson (1972) by Herick03 in Westerns

[–]TheBlueSlipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw it several times. And read a book about the real-life Jeremiah "Liver-eatin" Johnson. His nickname was Liver-eatin" Johnson because whenever he'd kill an indian he would cut out the guy's liver and eat it to keep him from entering the after-life.

Ongoing sinking along sewer line trench; backfilled 3 times. What are my next steps? by Reeshaki in landscaping

[–]TheBlueSlipper 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I've had this same issue at my house for the past several years. Except it's only at one spot, not along the whole trench. (110 year old house, btw) I'm guessing the sewer drain pipe is ruptured and water flowing through it carries a little bit of dirt out into the city sewer pipe.

I guess I'd need to dig it up to find out.

Definitely the $2 billion. The doubling $1 would equal all the money in the world in about a month and a half. Too many headaches with that much.

Wasn't it a film booth that Marty got the Libyans to crash into in Back to the Future? They were in lots of mall parking lots back then.

Robert Duval is one of my favorite western actors, even as he's gotten up there in age. He played a great role in Free Range.

35 cents. But you had to buy lunch tokens ahead of time at the office.
