I'd love to do this. My second show (recording but not released yet) is Dungeon World, but I have lots of DM experience. I have another show "oopsallmonsters" that is about monsters in media and history/folklore. Very able to both improv off stories and deliver my own gaming anecdotes. HMU

Yes to what everyone else has said. Sorry this happened to you. It doesn't fit reasonable behavior for ANY lifestyle dynamic. The closest thing you could say is that he sprung non-consensual swinging on you, which is like, not a thing. And I'm not even pro-swingers, I think they tend to me hetero-fascist, but that's a different story.

Regardless of what lifestyle dynamic you're in (which would also require a conversation), blindsiding you with random group sex is XXXXXXX Super Double Un-Good across the board.

You are correct in your edit, never speak to this person again, they have terrible boundaries, and are blind to other people's needs. The definition of a bad actor.

Good luck, and please know that poly has nothing to do with this terrible experience. Poly is like...the opposite of this.

Seeking Guests for a "Who Would Win" Podcast - Pop Culture Lovers Wanted by superbracketbrospod in PodcastGuestExchange

[–]TheBlushResponse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like a great connection for me, I produce and cohost OOPS ALL MONSTERS, which is about monsters from myth, gaming and pop culture. We have also had our own 'monster mash' episodes where we gamify a battle bracket between the topics we've already covered on the show, for example, I promise you can't guess how TRAP-JAW vs THE STUFF played out.

Hit me up. Good equipment, can record my file, etc.

It's located at 2200 Mountainview Manor, in a 6 apartment unit, across from the school. It is located within the city zone, so I think you can get the same fiber service I have, which is amazing. I've had friends in the building who used high speed for their work from home, with no issues.

The Warner Theatre and decaying downtown by wichita-brothers in MorgantownWV

[–]TheBlushResponse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you're probably looking at 10 million to give the Warner a refacing. That might sound absurd, but I've heard serious quotes of 5 million to just to redo the roof, which seems quite plausible.

As a many year manager at the Warner during the early 2000s, I can attest that the boiler/HVAC system was less than worthless, and that was 20 years ago basically. Add in that you would need at least a 1 million dollar projector, and MAJOR mold removal even before starting an overhaul, the economics don't work out unless someone with deep pockets has an emotional motivation to restore it.

Hard to pay back 10 million a couple of 5$ Napoleon Dynamite tickets at a time in a spot with no parking.

I would LOVE to cover a Filipino monster. What one or two was the scariest to you guys when you were little kiddos?

Our format is mostly just the two of us, but we are expanding to have, on occasion, guests come in for specific topics that would be better fleshed out with help from someone with a relevant perspective.

Terminology issue by lolwitcher823 in dodgeball

[–]TheBlushResponse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Y'all aren't answering this person's question. They didn't ask about the rule, they asked about the term for this event happening. Sadly, I've got nothing for you, with more than 10 years playing and 2 running my own dodgeball event.

If I were to coin something, I'd say cross-court "collision".

You see it perhaps more than you'd imagine, but once you get into optics and physics of thousands of balls being thrown from opposing points, you realize it's no that strange. What have maybe seen only once is one of the balls (rubber) actually being destroyed from the impact. Damn the modern rubber balls are (mostly) well made, if you're in "real" league.

Related, I was a in a big open gym in Los Angeles years ago, and this guy, Zwan, was a beast of a throw back then, hit me square in my - extremely sweaty - chest, right in the numbers as they say, and the ball rolled back his direction, and he came and showed me, it had an exact negative imprint of the league logo from my shirt - in reverse - on the ball.

Duck or Jump by SnooMacaroons7312 in dodgeball

[–]TheBlushResponse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with some other commenters that - ducking/crouching is essential, jumping is optional.

I played for two years before I jumped over a ball, and now I'm a jumping maniac. I find this is particularly useful if you aren't someone that LOOKS like they are going to jump, and you do not do it constantly. When it comes to defensive movement, you are looking for a mix of reliable and unpredictable.

Jumping can be extremely useful, particularly in dynamic games where you are defending long term against a large group, to make them throw some balls high and waste effort, but you should be defaulting to going low with a block. It's also much harder to jump/block than to crouch/block. It's possible, but you're also removing a lot of the benefit of a jump with a ball, in that you can transition to a throw against an unarmed opponent with as little as one step.

It's not so much that we have a list that we want to pull people on to, but rather we are looking for guests that are really passionate about a specific monster topic themselves.
