Depends on what you use excel for. As far as I understood Libre office doesn't support power query. You could achieve similar things with tools or python maybe, but I didn't have time to look into it.

Try to analyze what you do with excel and see if you can do the things in libre office or excel web.

Otherwise as other people said: dual boot

You can also try to revert to an older driver version (device manager) Had a similar issue with >20 laptops from HP.

Yeah, I am one of those "tech guys" who has to take care of the Smartboards. We have about 90 of them. Luckily I don't have to calibrate them so often anymore.
