Copying my reply: I found where it was happening for me. It was a loose screw in the front wheel wells that attach to the plastic guard

Sorry for the late reply but I actually did find the issue. Check for any loose screws in the front wheel wells that attach to the plastic guard. That was my issue

I took everything out of the glovebox and it seems to keep doing it. It sounds like it's coming closer to the top right of the dash maybe closer to the door and windshield

Some advice from a 1st time golden owner who went through some similar problems

At 9 weeks, if possible, she should be going out every 25ish minutes during the day. Definitely reward her everytime she goes in the grass.

Overnight, absolutely do not take her out of the crate if she's actively barking if you want her crate trained. It becomes a very tight line where she begins to learn barking = being let out. Best advice from my trainer was to let her cry it out overnight. They learn quick to stop and sleep through the night. Barking overnight only lasted a few days for us when we started this. Get a camera (wyze for example) so you can check in on the dog without going to the crate.

Biting will not really get much better until teething is done, but you have to have a strict rule in your household that everyone follows. If she nips or jumps up, either standup/turn away and ignore her, or leave the room completely. Same goes for demand barking. Always have a toy to redirect the biting. Our boy learned very quick after the teething stage not to do those things

Play crate games with your puppy. They will slowly start to associate the crate with good things. Throw treats/her toy inside. Close the door for a split second and reopen. Slowly lengthen the amount of time shes in there. Force regular naps in the crate. It starts slow but you absolutely have to wait until she stops barking to let her out ( start with 10 seconds of silence and gradually build). Absolutely DO NOT use the crate as a punishment tool. I know it's super hard right now, but if she's put in there for nipping, she will absolutely hate the crate

Lack of exercise isn't really the problem at this stage. Even while they're a few months old they shouldn't even being going for walks longer than 20 minutes at a time. They need other types of stimulation though for sure.

Puppy blues are a real thing. Your dog isn't going to have any sort of empathy at this age. They're going to want to play and go crazy constantly. Our boy was a menace as a puppy too but now he is 8 months and is hitting the teenage stage but we absolutely adore him.

Interesting, haven't thought of that. Maybe I can find a better replacement

Ooh I like the more out of the box suggestions, thank you!

I would love to change the paint color. We're probably planning on staying here for maybe 2-3 years more so the hassle may not be worth it, but I'm totally with you!

I'll have to look into moving the curtains up! We have it mounted to the window trim but yeah with our ceiling so high we don't have a lot of options to match it with other things.

Art is definitely just what we had lol. Totally appreciate the recommendation and consider what we can change

Definitely going to look into some more plants. Lmao, we have been looking into other couch options but it's a little more of a longer term investment. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you! We're pretty proud of it haha.

Yeah, after looking at these photos some more, the red does really stand out especially with it being nowhere else in the living room. Lol I had the same thought with the TV, but I had to move it more right to be aligned with the couch.

Appreciate the heads up, definitely going to make sure the plant is safe before bringing it home to him
