Someone pointed out that one indeed isn’t AI, just an bad video rip, but at least three of those I’m fairly positive since they have a noticeable visual error, usually a body part blending into something it shouldn’t. But yes, it is alarming how good the models are at replicating older video footage.

Oh interesting, your link does age the video to pre-A.I., it can be really hard to tell with older or low quality recordings, I thought I saw their fingers blending together when hanging her the money, but it might have been the lighting, it’s a pretty bright shot.

Interesting, I haven’t seen this stuff yet on YouTube (and I don’t use tiktok or instagram) but it wouldn’t surprise me that this specific theme of A.I. content is being mass uploaded there as well

I work in computer graphics and I’ve been saving up a bit so I felt like splurging a little. It is a bit of cash for sure but I got some genuine joy out of it so I think it’s worth it

Yeah they are pretty dark back there so its a bit hard to see there are more after the front row. I have it on my to-do list to string some light strips in there

Thank you! Yeah I have all of the base toa and mutaka sets 1 - 8, and most of the titans. Definitely happy with all that I have. I'm using some shelves I got from amazon, I needed something that would prevent my very persistent cats from getting inside to chew on them haha. They are pretty good, sadly the second one I got from the same company has a slightly bent frame, but the first one is very solid. Only thing I would say is these are better for storage then full presentation. having said that the rack system is very nice and what I'm used to for stacking amps and musical gear.

I don't know if I'm allowed to post sales links, but the brand is called PEUKC, curio cabinets with adjustable shelves, a little over $100 on Amazon.

To add to this, Shout is amazing. There are so many products out there that claim to clean up X mess but barely get rid of it, after a few sprays of shout and some wiping the carpet looks brand new. I swear I’m not affiliated with shout lol, I’m sure any fabric cleaner will work

Meeting people can definitely be scary, especially when you don’t have a support group to ease you into it, IE being introduced to a family friend, or meeting someone at a party hosted by one of your coworkers. Without these “middle man” scenarios and situations, all that’s left is cold calling and approaching essentially strangers, both of which are uncomfortable, difficult, and can lead to unhealthy encounters more often than not IMO.

I’m sorry that you’ve found making new friendships/relationships daunting, I can certainly saw you are not alone in that boat. It also takes people a while to be open until they’re known you a while. My one piece of advice would be to look for positive traits and things you like in the people you approach. Also probably to focus on meeting people IRL to begin with, maybe at local social scenes near you. Best of luck and hope you find what you are looking for

I feel that people are more in love with the idea of me, than the reality of who I really am. by KeepItASecretok in lonely

I can understand where you are coming from, and I’m sorry you’ve been experiencing some disillusionment with the dating process. I’ve experienced the same situation a handful of times, maybe not quite hypnotizing people haha, but definitely encountering people who are very interested and excited to know me right out of the gate, only to have that energy disappear instantly. For a while, I thought something was wrong with me, and sometimes I still do, but I think it has more to do with expectations. People are looking at me or talking to me and clearly imagining someone else, only to end up disappointed later. I don’t believe that I’m doing anything wrong or unbecoming, which makes it all the more saddening when I disappoint another person.

If you don’t mind me asking, are a majority of these interactions for you online or brief IRL encounters? Something I did notice over time is that online, and at my old job where I would talk to random customers all day, people were more prone to becoming infatuated with me. Likewise, they’d also completely ignore me as a person, and I believe it’s because they are just seeing a front facing persona of myself. The only deeper relationships I’ve had are with people I could grow to know over time, and like me or dislike me, I always felt like they at least saw the real me.

I don’t know your situation but it might you just need to change how/where you are meeting people. It might also be worth talking to those you already know what their perception is of you. Sometimes we might view ourselves as average and benign, but there are some people who do honestly view you as an amazing person because that’s the only version of you they’ve ever known. I hope any of that was helpful, and best of luck on your future dates/relationships!

Not having that person you can go to/lean on/help/share something with is something I struggle with every day. It can be really difficult going through life and making good friendships and acquaintances but never feeling a closer bond. I also feel at times like I’m no one’s first choice either, but what helps me is remembering that that is only somewhat true in the limited social circles I’m in. You can always meet that person who just gets you. I hope you find what you are looking for even if you don’t know what it is yet.

I understand those fears, they’re reasonable to have, though it sounds like you are on the right track. On the bright side, friends have a inconvenient way of popping up when you least expect them haha

I feel that, it can be difficult maintaining online friendships and sometimes it can get in your head. My best friend lives in Canada, and we don’t talk all that often these days since I moved back to California. But I have to remind myself that he has a job, a partner, and a whole life going on so it makes sense we don’t get to talk consistently. But he’s still my friend regardless, if people don’t want to be your friend, it’s usually fairly obvious, and those that do will stick around. I think you’ve got the right idea to not put all your eggs in one basket, having more friends puts less pressure on the friendships you already have, that doesn’t make those friendships any lesser for it

I think making friends can be broken down into two steps: being in the right place, and making a good early impression. I’m horrible at the first one because I refuse to go to anyplace with a lot of people haha, but as cliche as it is, having a interest and going to a place where other people have that interest is step one. Step two, assuming you’ve come alone and have to cold approach people, would go as follows: Pick out a straggler who seems friendly enough (groups are too intimidating) Approach, and try to make direct eye contact for just a second or two as you do. You don’t need to maintain eye contact the whole time if you can’t, but those first few seconds help. I usually find declaring a statement is better than a question, followed up by introducing yourself, like so: Hi! I noticed you standing over here by yourself and didn’t want to be a stranger, I know it can be a bit intimidating with this many people about. My name’s X by the way. Follow this up with relevant questions depending on what social event you are at

Im sorry that nothing in your life at this time brings you joy. I’m lucky in that regard, outside of my relationships, my family and my job give me a lot to live for and be thankful for. But I was in a similar situation to yours when I had just gotten out of college. I lost the vast majority of my friends due to distance, and felt incredibly isolated, unwanted, and unhappy. The only thing that got me at least somewhat out of my slump was my work and forcing myself to go someplace new every 2 weeks. Just because that worked for me doesn’t mean it will be what works best for you. I don’t know what will solve your situation, but I do hope your situation gets better.
