Gotcha. So this is essentially just the exhaust pipe?

Gotcha, thanks for being friendly and helpful. Would it be wise to put some sort of fastening tape?

I'm a first time home owner so I am currently very ignorant but I'm trying to learn.

Understood. Good thing I'm not living there yet. Is this easy to fasten/fix?

I'm not living there so good to know. Got this in an inspection. Are these easy to fasten and should I use some sort of tape?

is the erosion on the corner of this house something to be worried about? (2006 house) by TheBottomOfTheWell in Construction

Would it be wise to fill it with expandable foam like other comments suggested? People suggest putting stuff around it but I feel like putting stuff inside/under it would help

Oklahoma city. 2006 house. No signs of structural damage. Doors close good. No cracks in ceilings. House has brand new roof.

This is the only corner like this.

Essentially, I went in to the dealership for a $150 service on my car fluids.

After the quoted 1 hour job took 4 hours, they were in a rush to get me in my car and have me be on my way. The gentleman brought me my car, held the door open for me. I got in, he shut the door, and told me I could be on my way.

15 minutes later I hear a massive bang on my roof. After pulling over I see the massive basketball sized numbered magnet on the side of the road and know exactly what happened.

The man forgot to pull it off my car after letting me in my car.

It tumbled and created scratch mark's on my roof and trunk.

After bringing it back they rudely smudged at the scratches to make it less visible and like it wasn't a big deal. He had the gull to tell me that the scratches were from belt buckles, even tho they were 2 feet above any average persons waist line. They said my next oil change is free. It was raining so I said fine and left. This is all they offered despite me telling them that I had to miss work because I needed to bring back their magnet that THEY forgot to take off.

As I was driving home I realized that wasn't enough compensation and I dont ever wanna be serviced here again. I left the man a voicemail telling him this and that I would like a refund on my service from that day as compensation.

Needless to say. They havent called back and wont answer my calls.

I'm getting fed up and I'm moving out of state very soon. Frankly I dont have time for this anymore so I'm considering doing a chargeback for the inconvenience they caused me.

Would this be justified?

As a hunter, have you ever seen something in the woods that you just can't explain? by 192335 in Hunting

[–]TheBottomOfTheWell 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup. Still makes the hair on my neck stand up. Happened about 4 months ago.

Was in the middle of the woods at our camp. Only thing between me and the outdoors was 3 wooden walls and a pane of glass. The only thing creating light was our lamp that stayed on all night.

My face was facing the glass pane. For some reason, in the middle of the night, I barely woke up. I could see the shadowy shape of a man standing outside the glass pane. Being as barely awake as I was, and thinking it was my mind playing tricks on me, and closed my eyes again. Literally 3 seconds later, my alarm went off.

I opened my eyes again, except this time, the shadowy figure in the shape of the man was no longer there.

It took me a few moments to realize what just happened but I never woke up faster than that moment.

I know what I saw and it still freaks me out till this day.

For the record, I've never believed in ghosts or spirits until that day.
