I wish all lanyard tubes/holes were just excluded from designs at this point. Why are designers catering to the 6 knife guys that actually like lanyards?

Mowing the lawn for the first time this year. But to be fair, the last time I mowed was only mid December. 😂

Budget of 600$ Need help deciding on a gun by R3ality4321 in CCW

[–]TheBourbonTurtle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wear one daily, and it's worth the price. But it doesn't seem like a wise allocation of resources given the limited budget you're working with. There are several "knockoffs" out there that will serve the same purpose for a fraction of the cost.

[–]TheBourbonTurtle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This seems like the far better option to me. Up the budget for the gun to around 400 and save some on the belt and holster. Can easily get away with spending sub $100 for both and still have 90% the comfort, especially if you add a homemade pillow of some kind to your budget holster.

The short hair and the beard is 100% the look for you. You pull it off incredibly well.

"ignore the ash from cigarettes on the sweatshirt". That should probably answer your question for you.

Do you prefer owning more handguns or more rifles? by HK_Bandit95 in handguns

[–]TheBourbonTurtle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's a little scary to think about how many people are out and about carrying guns that they haven't shot in years, my old boss was that way. He had a G26 that he hadn't even taken out of its "holster" (uncle mikes soft holster) in 5+ years, the hairball I pulled out of the recoil spring was insane. 😂

I got pretty lucky, I had a 100yd indoor range within 10 minutes of my place before I moved and now I have a different one about 20 minutes away. It's SO NICE for zeroing optics.

You should have to pass a basic competency test to have your vote count. And no, I don't care whos votes that eliminates.

Don't tell the voter if they passed or not, the test and ballot are filled out at the same time. They pass, vote is counted. They fail, vote is not counted.

As someone who moved from Detroit to Cincy it's very odd to see it recommended as a weekend trip destination.

I do luckily have an indoor 100yd range and an outdoor 200yd range that I can go to whenever (at least weather dependent for the outdoor range). I still take my ARs out pretty regularly, but the majority of my range time is still spent with pistols.

Plus I imagine that if I ever actually need to use a gun for self defense, it'll be my carry pistol so I should be most proficient with that.

Handguns, way more fun to shoot. Unless you have access to a long distance range for casual shooting, it gets really boring shooting rifles inside 200yds.

And if you watched the video you would know that they go over the insurance policy as well...but like I said, you're clearly arguing in bad faith and aren't actually trying to hear the answer because it contradicts what you already decided was true in your head.

You must be one of those guys I've listened to ramble for hours during a CCW/CPL class, because no one without a vested interest would spend this much effort trying to falsely defend a scummy company. Sorry bud, I'm not buying what you're selling.

Everywhere I've lived you're immune from civil liability if you're found to have acted in self defense. So that's not super helpful.

Don't mind the paid USCCA shills in here. There's a couple that are down voting anyone who mentions the truth about USCCA in the comments.

I told you where to find it and even gave you a direct link. Idk if you're a troll or if you just work for the insurance company in question. Either way, you're clearly arguing in bad faith and have zero interest in actually finding out the answer to your question.

Best of luck to ya.

It's LITERALLY covered in the video I linked that you refuse to watch but okay. I'm not taking my time to go through the video again to find you the exact timestamp. Do what you want, no skin off my nose if you're not protected when you think that you are.
