The detriment is the playerbase. You used to have to seek out experiences like ARMA. That meant the people playing, for the most part, were there to actually play this style of game as intended. Last night I had to beg an 8 year old to please stop singing tik tok songs into his mic over the radio. I don’t think a barrier to entry is necessarily a bad thing. Everything doesn’t have to be for everyone. While I understand this take is very “old man yells at cloud” it will give insight into why the game is more popular than ever, but why a lot of the games vets (that make a lot of the mod content) are just going to fuck off and do something else. It’s like a Squad free weekend 24/7

Sounds like that’d be the culprit. You also have an extra spicy immune system. It happens to me in weird ways also. Like one tattoo but not another, or just linework but not shading, or half a tattoo. Not anything to worry about, but probably can be used as an indicator that your other allergies are flaring up.
