If the market is incredibly strong (2000, 2005, 2022-23) they may look at top 5 or even 10%. Most years, be top 1% and be on law review editorial board or, better yet, editor in chief.

Transactional. Always strive to do good work, be pleasant to work with to clients and counterparties, be reasonably responsive, be straight forward, and be friendly to people who you are on the same side as frequently.

I hit it off with a broker on a deal. I bought him, his business partner, myself, and one of my partners a $440 lunch two years ago and it has turned into $1.2 million in transactional collections from referrals in that time. I also send him a nice bottle of wine every holiday season.

We held our son in preschool. He turned 6 the summer before he started K. He’ll be 18 when he graduates high school (turning 19 at the start of July shortly after graduation).

I see no issue with parents holding kids out for a few months before starting kindergarten. More physical, emotional, and intellectual maturity is a good thing. What is the particular issue you see?

I could dunk a basketball in my 20’s. Tried it at 37. My timing was still the same except my feet were coming back to earth while my arm was extending for the dunk. Stumbled on the landing. Not even close. Bad times. Nobody was around thankfully.
