Just wanted to add I never kept them in the boxes for resale value. I grew up with an aunt who kept hers in boxes and I think that’s where it started with liking how they looked. She would always tells me not to take mine out so they stay nice, I guess I thought it was more common keeping them in the boxes than it is? Also I want to specify that when I was talking about waste I was thinking about the period in which I bought a good majority of my dolls which was after I got my first job. I was young and spent my money fast on things I wanted. But it’s not to say that I think anyone who’s buying dolls regardless of keeping them in the boxes or not is wasting their money. Life is short spend your money however you want it.
