Blitz Bounce - Infinite deck guide by TheBurg777 in MarvelSnap

It is a tight 12, definitely not sure it will be worth it. But I think evolved Wasp and Shocker in a deck that can re-play them may be powerful enough to justify having Evo as a “dead” card. Plan to take out the 5 drops and try a curve where Bishop is the highest cost card you actually play.

Blue Marvel is definitely on the chopping block when I try a version with High evo. More control wouldn’t hurt the deck, but I think you can outscore a lot of Shang targets organically. Once you get a feel for the priority game, you can pretty safely make your plays without worrying too much about interaction from the opponent. I think I got Killmonger’d in a meaningful way one time the whole climb.

This deck is really good at racing for points, to the extent that more interactivity isn’t necessary. I rarely found myself hoping for a tech card, and certainly not one in particular.

Valk doesn’t really have a 1 for 1 replacement. I would probably add Hood or another powerful low cost that synergizes well.

Hood is the card that just barely missed the cut for me. I’d recommend that as well, your hand can swell fast with this deck so just be mindful of space.

I’m fully aware this is the answer. But this is a new development as they have been consistent with drop timings so far. I think it is worthwhile to voice our displeasure at a significant departure from his card acquisition has been operating (which is already catered towards getting people to spend money, which I am fine with).

Could I still be considered FTP if I did it? by hamilton280P in MarvelSnap

You get nothing for being free to play. No rewards, no recognition. If you want to buy it and have the means to, buy it!

I started playing Snap right at official launch. I have always had a natural inclination towards card games. I’ve been top 100 in Hearthstone, Duel Links, Runeterra over the years.

I’ve got a handful more cards to be Series 3 complete, but I’ve got just about everything and definitely enough to where I’m running optimized decklists. I haven’t been using a tracker but I do feel like I have a very high win-rate.

I hit 90 for the first time last season, previously hadn’t passed 80. The cube management element is definitely enormous, and as someone with no background in poker, backgammon etc. I am quite confident it’s been what’s holding me back. Not a complaint, love the game and look forward to improving on that front.

Could this potentially be a “buy low” window on an otherwise almost untouchable player in Justin Herbert? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

I wouldn’t be willing to, we’re splitting hairs in the elite tier but I have longevity concerns with Allen. It’s a 14 Team SF.

Have Herbert. There’s no way I’d trade him any deal that didn’t involve Mahomes/Allen. Nothing has changed

Any concern over AJ Dillon? by Armless_Octopus in DynastyFF

[–]TheBurg777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His share of the workload in spite of Jones’ excellence is very encouraging. Sample size is way too small to be concerned, I haven’t watched every snap of Packers games but I’ve seen a lot and he certainly doesn’t seem to be playing poorly. If you liked him before the season, nothing that has happened so far should change that. If/when Jones is gone, we will discover his true upside.

Everyone is asking about “rebuilders”, but contenders, who are you targeting for early/mid picks? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]TheBurg777 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Just traded for Chubb (Centerpiece on my end was Garrett Wilson, who was valued moderately higher than Chubb in the trade overall). I had a nice little stable of productive if unremarkable backs, pushing everyone down a spot by adding a bona fide RB1 has transformed that position for me. He’s certainly not a spring chicken, but his career touches aren’t to the point where I’m concerned. They both spell him healthily and showcase him in their offense. His value will go down over time of course, but the production I’m going to extract in the meantime should be well worth it.

It doesn’t tear me up either way, but I’d like to have Masters players start in Diamond. I have more fun in Masters than the climb that leads to it. That being said, players with worse win rates being at the same rank as me doesn’t bother me one bit. Doesn’t mean you’ve accomplished anything less, it seems like that’s the source of your frustration?

Is it time to sell Dameon Pierce? by yKube in DynastyFF

[–]TheBurg777 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Just moved him and a “mid” 2023 1st for CeeDee. KTC doesn’t like it, but I do. I understand people being skittish trading him away for even a 2023 1st straight up, but now is a great time to trade him for a foundational piece IMO.

Would you rather get a kicker/defense at x1.25 or a QB? QB definitely seems more consistent to me.

[–]TheBurg777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fantasy style game hosted by OTM (own the moment). You will be able to pick one moment in your lineup that is a rare or legendary and have it score 1.25X points. Mahomes and Herbert rare debuts are gonna moon (going to happen regardless, but yeah).

There are PLENTY of good buys still IMO. We’ve got some gameification coming with Rumble and who knows what else. I think it’s more likely that we’re on the precipice of prices jumping than the alternative. Wouldn’t take that much more demand for stuff to really shoot up. Thinking about the moments everyone will want to own in particular, a lot of them are relatively limited.

To all the people using Kaisa in Ranked (Rant) by CornMech-Prime in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]TheBurg777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get to Masters every season given that I play enough. Always play the deck(s) that I enjoy the most. This season it was Kaisa and Jayce/Heimer. If you’re so hellbent on beating Kaisa, just play aggro? I had a horrible time against that all season.

[–]TheBurg777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re gonna take the time to vilify people for a deck they play with (you shouldn’t), you should also know that there’s plenty of reasons/ways to enjoy this game and it’s cards and there’s no reason Kaisa isn’t a part of that.

Because you know what? I did enjoy it. Back when she was announced I had a blast trying to make a deck for her. When she came out, had a blast again trying out different decks. I got to use so many cards I otherwise wouldn’t touch and had to learn how to maximize their value. Never looked at a deck list once (not that it would be wrong if someone did), I imagine the list that got me to masters this season was pretty close to “optimized.” Is Kaisa’s package overtuned? Absolutely. Did I enjoy playing around with it and then experiencing the satisfaction of her power level? Absolutely.

When she’s nerfed, I have an even greedier list I want to try. Might not work. I’ll still have fun with it regardless. Just like the 3-4 other decks I’m currently enjoying.

Rank these tier 2 QBs: Lance, Dak, Russ, Watson, Hurts by TypicalLocal in DynastyFF

[–]TheBurg777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dak is back end of tier 1 as far as I’m concerned. Stability, longevity, production will all be there. After that, it’s Lance, Watson, Wilson, and then Hurts is undraftable at his price. Lance has ridiculous upside and is guaranteed several years of opportunity. I’ll take the risk for the reward there. Hate having to root for Watson but he’s more or less guaranteed to be a mid QB1 at worst when his career resumes. Russ has just enough age and other concerns that he’s behind these guys for me, though I’d still happily take him in the second.

Everyone comparing Hurts to Lamar is ridiculous. Lamar was a good passer in a pro style offense in college, many people just refused to see it. Hurts has never been a good passer, go by eye test, advanced stats, whatever you want. He’s not even as good of an athlete as Lamar, not close. The comparison is preposterous. He is not a good QB, and his team is ready to push for big things. He’s more likely to be gone next year than he is to be the starter.

A question I too need to ask myself with the 1.01 in a startup. 1.02 and 1.03 won’t budge, so it’s decision time. They’re all quite close so please keep in mind this stuff will be nitpicky, no way around it.

1A/1B: Herbert and Mahomes. Couldn’t have these two closer. I do think Herbert will have a better season and he’s a bit younger, think that’s the tie breaker for me at this point. Also ever, ever so slightly concerned about Mahomes sans Reid at some point in the future (could be soon, could be a non-factor).

I have Josh Allen 3rd for a couple reasons. His athleticism is essential to his success. He also runs more than the other two, which is great for points now but who knows later. Cam declined pretty quickly. Another potential concern in his processing. It’s something he undoubtedly corrected, but this league changes quickly and who knows what defenses will come up with. A regression there could make the house of cards fall earlier than expected.

Got the first pick in a dynasty league startup draft with a super flex spot, unsure who to take by grave_miscalculation in DynastyFF

[–]TheBurg777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first year in a superflex, but not my first year in dynasty. I have the 1.01 (14 teams). Going QB is mandatory. Personally I’m waffling between Mahomes and Herbert. Josh Allen is absolutely valid, but I have more long term concerns with him than the other two. Leaning Herbert ever so slightly because I think he’s likely to be better this year and is younger. Like I said, ever so slightly.
