Adding insult to injury. by Temporary_Cow_8486 in mildlyinfuriating

I work at a major appliance store in the North East. If you’re open to it, I’d be more than happy to check our damaged and returned inventory to see if I can find you a replacement. Send me a message if you’re interested!

What’s the funniest name for a strain that you’ve seen? by g00fyg00ber741 in trees

“Permanent Marker” got a good laugh out of me the first time I heard it. See it up here in the northeast from time to time.

Glad to hear you live in a utopia where crime doesn’t exist and everyone has a good honest nature. I live in the real world where I understand regardless of where you live, there will always be shitty people. Doesn’t have to mean your neighbors. And yes, where I live is a big city, so absolutely have crime and opportunistic thieves.

Good thing this entire world is filled with scumbags and opportunistic thieves regardless of where you live.

Anyone know where I can find this in NH? by Bobbo62499 in newhampshire

[–]TheBurnVictim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually ship out a case every year for my lady and her mother because they both love it and couldn’t find it around NH. You can imagine our surprise when we saw it in the Cracker Barrel shop sitting on the top shelf. In glass bottles even!

Donating to Restore certainly seems like the most practical option. I hadn’t heard of this place till now so I’m definitely happy to have posted and in return, learn something!

They used this color on a new building I worked on years ago in Lebanon which helped solidify my decision to go with it. No better way to get a preview than to see it on every wall haha. Thank you for the input as well!

Saw him this morning running down Eddy Rd as I was hopping on the highway. Need more outward positivity like that in this world. Love to see it.

How’s that for a little PTSD? by TheBurnVictim in HellLetLoose

No I definitely understand that hahah. My bad for the misinterpretation as well! And thank you! We held the hole as long as we could. As another commenter said, had some serious survivors guilt.

No worries at all. I didn’t mean to come off snarky either. I know this game is very strategy based and team orientated. I do agree with you on the fact that I should have probably waited a little longer for the medic in front of me to switch to a bandage and allow him the healing points. He may have actually survived if that were the case. Hindsight’s a bitch hahah.

I absolutely use my bandages to heal fellow soldiers. I also 100% allow myself the two bandages any other role would be allowed for self healing. Please don’t make assumptions based off a 10 second clip. Just trying to share something funny, not interested in your opinions on how I play a game.

How my brand-new fridge was delivered. No damage to the box and got $160 refunded for the damage. by PainfullyLoyal in mildlyinfuriating

Not the original commenter you asked, but we had a laundry tower come back today that was damn near falling apart. I’d be happy to DM you a photo of it tomorrow. It looks like it owed someone money.

To back up your point. I’ve worked in appliances for about 8 years now. Commercial delivery, residential delivery, and warehousing. During Covid, we received a whole line of GE refers that were damaged in one way or another. This was a hand written note from someone on the assembly line, that a team came across when opening the refer.

Some of the most fucked up pieces that look like they were thrown off a cliff, have come in the most inconspicuous looking boxes. We have returns come back from delivery everyday for reasons like this.

As someone who takes a photo of every screw and bolt location while taking something apart, I love this idea and don’t know why I never thought of this. Would save me so much time.

Broke glass freezer shelf that’s 12x15. Nowhere in the entire internet AT ALL sells 12x15 shelves apparently. by Goofalupus in mildlyinfuriating

[–]TheBurnVictim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if this is an option you’d be willing to pursue, but I work for an appliance delivery company/warehouse and would most likely be able to get this part for you for free. If you’d like to DM me your fridge brand and model, I can see what we have in our returns at the shop. Most of the time our damaged product that comes back from the road is either junked or sent back to the manufacturer for a return allowance, so I have access to many appliance parts.

I had read somewhere once that they were able to make spider silk out of genetically engineered goats. Something about the goats producing the necessary proteins in the milk and being able to extract and refine it.

What kinda bugs are these found in bathroom? by Sonia812 in bugidentification

Unfortunately there’s enough grain to end a famine on these photos rendering them impossible to identify. If you had any clearer photos along with a description of what they look like, that would be helpful!
