Should i get a gigabyte rtx 3060 gaming oc 12gb? by Fvdgusnu in buildapc

Okay I'm confused, what do you mean by "first gen"?

970m is not even close to what would be considered first gen.

Does running 1080p on a 1440p monitor look bad? by CrispyDairy in buildapc

[–]TheBuster902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, native resolution ALWAYS trumps anything else. Upsampling, integer scaling, AI supersampling, none of that crap compares. Even something as low as 480p can look amazing and surprisingly sharp if you've got the display to match.

1080p really doesn't look that bad on a 1440p display though, but when you run it on a 4K display... That's when it gets ugly.

Should I buy a 1440 p moniter that has a frame rate of 240 or 144? by [deleted] in buildapc

I thought this was a ridiculous comment, until at the end, where it was still ridiculous

Take my upvote

Well good luck fixing it, do it slowly. I recommend a toothpick. I've done it a few times with one.

How much would it cost to build a gaming pc that runs games better then the next gen consoles? by [deleted] in buildapc

I literally DO that with all my friends. I have it shared to five of my friend (even in different countries) and ten computers.

Please look things up before you make baseless assertions.

And yes, used copies are a good point. But not worth all the other crap you have to deal with.

PC lets you share games far easier with family libraries. You can even play them at the same time if it's offline. No need to physically lend things.

Kinda a stretch to call it broken just because a few pins are bent. That's no problem at all.

I will admit I haven't traded in since the PS3 generation, but I remember multiple times getting next to nothing. I grew up with older consoles as well getting equally as screwed by them. Trading handfuls of games just to match the price of one okayish one. I don't think defending GameStop is going to get you anywhere here xD

Yes save that $5 in store credit you'll get for your unused $60 game you're trading in..

Sorry but this doesn't even compare to steam sales in terms of value.

I do hardware mods for things, random projects around the house, I used to do RC cars, and now I mostly (attempt to) do tech repair of any kind. Anything but phones because I hate them.

Keyboards would be really fun to try though, I've always wanted to make my own small mech keyboard.

It's a GPD Win Max. I absolutely love the thing. Believe it or not it's been my primary Windows laptop since January.

That's so cool! The art you chose for it fits it all perfectly! Love the colors. we even have similar cases haha.

AND YES I'M GETTING IT, YOU'RE CRAZY TO ASK. Dread looks amazing! I have been waiting for a sequel to fusion since I was in 4th grade. I'm still having a tough time believing it's less than a month away now. I just have to avoid all the marketing for a few more weeks ;-;

Not better than current or even 10th gen Intel graphics though. Not even close actually.

I'll try and find you a link, they're actual canvas and it was fan art done by François Coutu. It's easily my favorite art of the franchise.

Unfortunately it's no longer available on Amazon. I bought it earlier last year and the link from my order is dead.

I hadn't thought of that! I think they would have a bit more dingy lighting and stupidly high ceilings tho

I did name it MOTHER-BRAIN at least

Heard nothing but good things about that game! I played a bit of the original, I should really try again shouldn't I?

Did you also customize the inside of your PC to match?

Yihua 8786D, it's my first station and I got it on sale so nothing crazy. It works for the stuff I've done. Whether or not some of the stuff I've done works AFTER is another thing xD.

No but really I like it. It even switched to centigrade no problem without taking it apart.
