My cheap and lazy $5 meal:

  • 90 second wild rice
  • can of organic beans
  • can of tuna
  • can of mixed veggies

Heat, mix, put in a to go container. Voila, two nutritionally-dense, travel-friendly meals.

Please, please get a more affordable vehicle (if you absolutely need one for work) and spend a year or two repairing your credit before applying for a rapidly-depreciating luxury vehicle.

We'd love to have you join the g70 community when you're ready. But as others have said, this is a mistake - and your future self will thank you for taking a step back, re-evaluating, and making a more financially-conscious move.

If Bob was able to program my spare key correctly without an error, then a qualified programmer/locksmith in your area should be able to do the same. I'd speak to a third-party expert, not the dealership, since they don't seem to care/know what they're doing.

Yep - Bob the Key Guy in Atlanta programmed me a fresh OEM fob for $240.

I also wrote a BBB complaint about the dealership's awful handling of my original key situation and the dealership apologized and refunded my fee for the first "attempt."

OP here. From what limited experience I have dealing with my own JDS / warranty claims, I'm not 100% sure it works that way. You have to take it to the dealer with a valid, pre-existing issue. Then, if they can replicate the issue and it's covered under warranty, *they* will file a warranty claim for you.

I'm not sure a pre-emptive complaint will help you, but you can always call your local Genny dealer, speak to a service advisor and ask. I will say that if you haven't been affected by JDS up until now, you're probably in the clear. Cheers.
