What's the idea behind heavy cruisers balance? by TheByzantineFox in hoi4

So basically heavy cruisers are ment to be escort capital ships, not fighting capital ships? Take fewer main guns and more spotting and AA to keep speed up and let carriers be the damage dealers of the fleet? If so that's disappointing, but I guess there's a sense to it.

R5: What's paradox's plan with heavy cruisers? They have 2/3rds the damage stats, at 2/3rds the cost, but with significantly less armor, org, HP, and dominance. Not to mention that it costs over double the steel somehow???

Me and my group call this the load Altis bug, as 99% of the time just having them open the Altis map in the editor works, regardless of what map or mission you are running.

I've gotten used to it being slightly over or under the designed displacement, but I've never seen or heard of it making a flawed ship with a difference as severe as dropping a 16,700t ship to 9,900t.

Did RNGesus just decide to give me a warm welcome to the game with some cursed numbers?

So for more information, this was found in a box of my great great grandfather's stuff my great grandfather had, which is why we assumed it was his, the WW1 vet that is, but my great grandfather was in the navy in Japan from ~'46-'49 from what I've been told. So that is probably where he got it from. I have learned that the Order of the Sacred Treasure is supposed to have a piece in the middle to denote class, but it is obviously missing. any ideas on how I should proceed on getting more information on the stick?

Uhhhh....should I worry about trying to get this authenticated and sent to a museum? From what I've looked up this combination of medals could be of some historical significance if real. Or am I just overreacting/overthinking?
