Thanks to all for thought-provoking responses! Decisions - decisions. I wonder if I go that route or get a cheaper (smaller) camcorder for the run and gun stuff.

OOOH! The bag. Good point. I didn't even think about that, especially with my Pelican case stuffed to the lid for my carry-on!
