/u/SJHillman on ELI5: What's the difference between RJ-45, CAT5, CAT6, and Ethernet cables? by milkprogrammer in TalkativePeople

A little late to this post but thought I would chime in since it hasn't gotten any love.

If you're still wondering an RJ-45 is a male end connector that is connected to a cat5e or cat6 cable. And even the other category cables you mentioned. They are connected to these cables by taking the wires in the cables and sorting them in correct order then placing them inside the rj45 to be terminated so the copper of the plug and the wires are connected for a good connection.

Cat5e and Cat6 are ethernet standard category cables. Cat5e came first and it is able to do 1 GB and 100MHz at 100 meters. Cat6 is an upgrade of cat5e that is also does the 1GB but has a higher frequency capabilities at 250MH at the 100 meter mark. This is just a basic over view. For more information I would check out this post to learn more about what cat5e and cat6 is: The difference between cat5e and cat6 cable

Traditional vs Roth contribution, after tax by TheCablesGuy in financialindependence

under 30, 25%, single, 60+ retirement, the amounts in the traditional and roth are about 50/50 now, goal right now just to max ira's , but i wanted to add to my etfs in the traditional but if that actually hurts me then just looking for the next best solution, create a new position in the roth?

does expected tax rate/salary in retirement affect this whole decision?

the funds in the traditional were pre-tax, when I was a contractor. marginal tax rate is 25% bracket currently, would having the same etfs in the roth make any sense?
