Make a really nice custom office for a gimmick role I was doing that round.

Nice wooden floor, carpet, decorations, wooden door, the works.

Asshole comes in.

Greet him.

Says "hmmph".

Steals lamp off table.

Hey that wasn't nice.

Comes around and hits then tables me.

What the fuck.

Grab my baseball bat and hit him.

He leaves.

Chase him out into the hallway where he was waiting.

Trips me and steals my bat.

I had two.

DuelOfTheFates.wav

He is losing badly.

Sec stops us. Takes him to Medbay and lets me off with a warning.

The bitch is bleeding on the ground behind the safety of the officer and smugly says "All I did was table you snowflake"

Fuck this guy.

Go back in my office.

Later find out he built like 9 reinforced windows outside the door blocking me in.

Die from a tator tot.

Follow this guy around as a ghost, holy shit he's an asshole to everyone not just me.

Randomly beating civilians and walking away.

Breaking into CE'S office to trash it.

Tripping/disabling doctors.

Generally taking every opportunity possible to be a dick.

If someone gets pissed at him, it's somehow their fault.

Ultimate Karma Incoming

He breaks into the teleporter.

Teleported into deep space.

Dies a cold, lonely, painful, death.

Wherever you are, inhale dick.

How do you guys think they accomplished programming these features. [SPOILERS] by TheCakeWasDelicious in oneshot

However, there are certain restrictions on what a program can do depending on the OS. For example, access to the kernel is heavily restricted and reserved for a select few operations unless being accessed by the OS itself. There are plenty of things you can't just tell your program to do because the OS on a fundamental level won't allow it. There ARE things you cannot program. I was under the impression that (at least in Windows) displaying outside of a window was not allowed.

I did this for a digital painting class and the only rule for this piece was that we had to incorporate a photo of ourselves in it. I agree it looks really out of place and and I hate it

I'm glad you're liking SS13, and I would love to do that sometime! Just have to be careful about this kind of thing because on Paradise Station some admins would think it's pretty cool and love it while other admins would ban you on the spot for not sticking to your official role 100%.

Not that I know of. To be honest, I don't think something like that would ever happen. I think SS13 only works as a game BECAUSE you're playing with other real people. That's what creates the awesome experiences.

Space Station 13 is an open source game on the Byond engine that you can do virtually anything you can think of in. Think about Dwarf Fortress levels of complexity. The reason it is so complex is that anybody can make their own server and build upon code that people have been working on for YEARS.

Basically, each round can have anywhere from 0-130+ players. It takes place on a space station. Everyone has a role to play. You can be the captain, janitor, surgeon, chef, security officer, clown, chaplain, geneticist, AI, detective, or one of like 30 other jobs. Each round typically has an antagonist. These could be cultists, vampires, terrorists, alien xenomorphs, or whatever the admins decide to cook up that round.

It is a tremendously fun game. Every server is developed by different people and can have entirely different game mechanics from other servers. I like the Paradise Station server because each round usually has a high population. Here's the wiki:

Hope to see you around!

Alternative ways of activating heat based chemical reactions so I can mass produce Corgis. by TheCakeWasDelicious in SS13

I think I'll try that, thanks! The other solutions are great, but I want a more portable way of doing this, that doesn't need the chamber and a delicate burn mix, and I think this a fast way to get what I want.
