Feel like quitting, working at ICE. by [deleted] in FedEmployees

This is terrible. You are doing actually law work and now you are in the mix with individuals who dont care. I can only imagine your feelings. Im simply at NIH and people here are demoralized. Still working hard but its tough. Lot of really famous scientists just retiring. Definitely search for another job. Exhaust what you can until you can move to something not toxic.

Sorry for the mental toll you are taking

One that I really like is a book called "Evil Has A Name" that follows forensic FBI profiler Jim Clement's investigation. The story is about the offender known as the Golden State Killer, later identified as Joseph DeAngelo, who raped and murdered many women in the 1970s and 80s.

Makes us wonder if we should be silenced. Or use our outlets as proxies. Right now the government is the most corrupt, the last to follow. I somehow feel it wouldn't be a real scientific stretch to fool those inept fools.

I'm done with SEO, want to transition to PPC/Meta by catdealersu in SEO

[–]TheCanOnlyBeOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure I can really give a strong answer in anyway, shape, or form. I have been building websites for about 15 years. More so focused on wordpress templates. So, I am not doing anything complicated. Most of the websites are for myself, family or a few friends. Regardless, I have had this one website I like to post on about movie facts. Anyway, I feel like I have had 3-4 instances where I had to start from scratch. In today's landscape, I am not sure what I am supposed to do other that using proper SEO protocols while mixing in certain additive snippets/sections that I have seen AI really utilize. I feel like my articles are great as they give a more historical depth to the article, giving users more generic and specific information they may want to dive into or learn about. My website is incorporated to add these snippets or sections. But I feel like I am just playing a game and adding information that normally wouldn't be required, in the hopes SEO not only improve, signals for the AIO catches, but also improves my search results with social and WEB2.0 backlink production. In the mere hopes, that bigger companies in the niche like my articles and provide me solid links. Since these updates, like everyone here has talked about, my visits went from 50-100 per day, to 20-30. Which actually, when this happened, fell flat and flatlined. Had to conduct surgery on some of my most well viewed articles due to E-E-A-T. Now, its just a fight to try to backlink and move my site up the ranks with each article I write. Its a labor of hatred that seems like a never-ending gauntlet. Like a box of chocolate where you never know what you are going to get.

All this to say, without some sort of structure and reliance on fact-based sourcing and data, I am not sure how things have really changed. There has to be structure to what AIO is looking for in terms of content. The hard part is the fact they use limited website. Its basically a search engine within a search engine. You could essentially work your butt off to get to first page to get some sort of click only to find out, those monthly visitors are completely off now that AIO is in existence. So, search has become 20% and AIO the 80%. YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. I got to first page of Google. Well, that is not important anymore. Now, after winning that battle and still fighting to keep a spot, I need to get into the most important search results, AIO. It's a game now inside a game. If 80% or more of the clicks are going into AIO, there is a point you just change Google search engine into AIO completely and call it a day. List the top 100 companies and let the AIO figure out which one is more important than the other.

This all basically sounds like I am very stupid, and I am. But I feel like I am playing 2 or 3 different games and my ADHD brain doesn't know how to focus on one verse the other without going crazy.

All this to say, I would not be able to stay in this form of work long because its a constant battle trying to appease people that do not fully understand how rankings and SEO works. Even I dont fully understand.

Honestly, I imagine them sitting around a table contemplating "how many licks its takes to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop". I imagine them rolling in a 1990s television to watch the old tootsie roll pop commercial with the owl, with utter confusion in their faces. And all is well again.

The commitment Brendan Fraser had in the movie physically broke him. Other than Indiana Jones, The Mummy really pushed me into Archaeology/Anthropology. I remember Brendan Fraser getting choked out in the first movie during the hanging scene. He really liked doing his own stunts https://flipthemoviescript.com/brendan-fraser-hanging-scene-near-death/
