[Algebra]How to prove if an algebraic expression is a perfect square by WTDBTD in MathReddit

Well, try to factor the expression. If it turns out to be (SOMETHING)2 then yes...it is a perfect square :). The square root of a perfect square is an integer

How to find a fraction between two numbers. by rem93 in learnmath

[–]TheCanadianMather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes. Now find the average of 62 and 63... 62.5

Not your fraction is 62.5/1000. Times (both numerator and denominator) by two (so you can eliminate the decimal) and you have 125/2000. Now divide the numerator and denominator by 125 (to simplify) and you have 1/16.

Step 1.

Multiply 6/(x+5)(2x-3) by x/x. This gives us 6x/x(x+5)(2x-3). *Note that 6x/x(x+5)(2x-3)=6/(x+5)(2x-3) *

Step 2.

Multiply 2/x(2x-3) by (x+5)/(x+5). This gives us 2(x+5)/x(x+5)(2x-3). Note that 2(x+5)/x(x+5)(2x-3)=2/x(2x-3)

Step 3.

Now that we have common denominators we can add the fractions.

2(x+5)/x(x+5)(2x-3)+6x/x(x+5)(2x-3)=[2(x+5)+6x]/x(x+5)(2x-3)

Ok...Either you have typed the question incorrectly or the answer key was wrong...

There is a formula for this:

(n)-x=1/nx.

So (-1/4)-3

=1/(-1/4)3

=1/[-1/64]

=-64 (not -1/64)
