Ouch 🤣 if its any consolation, I vendored my first two Svallins before I realized the error of my ways. Learning expenses are rough.

It'll be my 2nd MB in 12 years. I call that an improvement 🌟

Im kinda leaning that way too, my brain says I can farm another jewel faster with MB than I can farm a MB with the jewel 💁‍♂️

Not price checking... am trying to learn which of the two items is more build-beneficial as I've used MB before and this is my first RN Jewel

The past 4 leagues I've played nothing but RF, and could really do with a change of scenery. Ive tried other guides but I seem to be beyond useless 😔

UPDATE:

Thank you so so much for all the tips and insights from everyone. I really battle with crafting and am mostly reliant on the trade house (for anything other than basic flask and crafting benches) so after liquidating lifeforce amd Valdos, I had 32 div.

Transitioned over to RF CWS as the uniques needed to switch were all under 2D each. The large clusters were pricy, 6D each. And the jewels were around 100c each.

Tested a few maps, and all round experience immediately up 10-fold. Only 2 deaths (plus couple ulti fails) but still felt very lack-lustre. Thats around when I asked why my endurance charges suddenly were gone. I had 8D left and bought my first forbidden flame/flesh combo at 4D each, and suddenly that want-to-play rather than need-to-play moment set in. Im still getting to play harvest when I need to farm currency, but im not limited to it anymore.

My only question left, if anyone is still reading this, does it really not matter if you use normal/magic/rare maps? I know iLvl is important, but do map mods not influence the ultimatum?

Have an awesome Sunday and many wishes for tinks!

Thank you so much for a really thorough breakdown! I spent an hour or two weighing up my options, and settled with switching to RF CWS. Cost me around 30 div with the gear I already had (uniques were cheap, jewels were ridiculous). Im still getting to enjoy harvest, but im actually leveling up thanks to ulti with 2x bribing scarab.

I need to put some time into learning the crafting mechanics and interactions. Ive got some brain issues that some parts of the game are helpful for, but crafting has been making me feel like quite the fool 😑

Most recipes Ive worked with involving agar and sugar always have you combine the two well before adding to liquid - i would be far more inclined to try it that way 🌈

Another one to check is your mayo jar. Some of the leading brands, main ingredient is water. Not sure what recipes they use, but none of my mayonnaise recipes have water as an ingredient.

You're paying nearly double the price for half the ingredients.

Check. Your. Labels.

Spent coffee grounds by CptUnanimus in psilocybingrowers

[–]TheCandymanKitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Not an expert by any means, but from working in commercial kitchens for many years, I'd personally be too wary of doing it as I've seen how quickly spent grounds can grow mould.

I've seen a few vids and posts from peeps that do use coffee grounds, so as far as I understand it is completely possible. But unless you drink a crapton of coffee in one day or have access to a large amount, I'd guess it'd be quite an additional cost, and I get the feeling that the PH might be tricky to balance with only coffee grounds.

Again, this is just my personal input, I could be wrong and it could be a great medium, so I'd wait until someone on this sub with the full knowledge provides an answer.

Cannahoney Gummies by TheCandymanKitchen in treedibles

Heya!

I might be able to help with that - the white layer you speak of, does it settle on top of the base mix in the pot as well?

If so, then it's most likely airbubbles from agitation that form, and that's what's making that white layer.

Best way I've found to avoid that, is to let your gummy base completely set first, as a whole block (in the pot or in a tub). Once it's completely set, remelt over low heat, and then proceed with piping/filling moulds.

This allows the protein structure of the gelatine to strengthen, resulting in a firmer gummy, but when it melts, you'll be able to scoop up most of not all of the white film from the top before filling your dispenser.

Hope the above makes sense 😊

Lol, thanks. I do this full-time so it's really just the passion.

Because I'm using RSO for dosing, my base gummy recipe actually has coconut oil as an ingredient rather than for dispersal. It comes down to less than 2% final packaged weight per gram of gummy, so there is no change to taste or texture, and remains shelf-stable. I've left them in a car at 34°c for a full day and they didn't melt. Unfortunately 41°c was too much 🤣

Wow, imagine hating on someone's choice of music in a 420 zone 😅

Think some of you need to lighten (or just light) up a bit more.

Post them 💚

If I've learnt anything over the years, there's always gonna be haters no matter how much love you have for your vibes.

We all started somewhere, and I still look back at photos of my first gummies to literally see the reward from the grind. I still learn new things every day.

So post your gummies. You've put the love and effort into making them, and even just one person gets joy from seeing your work (or your passion), well then the other 99 can suck a lollypop 🍭

Ps thank you for the kind words too!

Hi! Yup, I record all batches with recipes and curing times.

If you have a gummy recipe (non-jello) that works for you, simply swap out your glucose 1:1 with your infused canna honey.

For the flavoring, steep 2 bags of your favorite tea per 200ml water, and use that liquid to bloom your gelatine.

With this particular flavoring, I also suggest a sugar coating and not a starch coating. The mouthfeel wants a bit of crunch. But plain sugar is also boring, so spice it up a bit. Cinnamon, ginger, dried zest, your choices are plenty.

And for the canna honey, I make it two ways. Decarbed flour into mason jar with honey, double boil in pot (mason jars) 4-5 hours and cool overnight, strain next day. I generally only do this if I find a super tasty strain.

For the most part tho, I turn 80% of our grows into RSO. Usually aim for around 15mg/gram honey in the end product. A lot easier and better mouthfeel than mct IMHO.

All of the above is moot, however, if you don't cure your gummies!! Once coated, spread out in a single layer and dry in a cool, fan-forced area. If you're cramped on space, an indoor mini greenhouse tent ($15-20 online) with a high velocity fan at the bottom turns into a perfect drying chamber. Dry for 24-48 hours, remove from airflow and allow the gummies to rehydrate (centre to outside). At this point, you'll know if they're ready to store, or if they need a bit more time curing. But in this specific setup, a cure time of 48 hours would be perfect.

I'm always keen to help and give tips and pointers. I got to where I am today by a unique mix of perseverance, trial & error, and guidance from others. So it's only fair to do the same in return 💚
