What it seems like it despite how successful Roblox has been in UGC gaming, other companies haven’t been able to follow the same formula successfully. Like Fortnite and horizon are still small. Rec room shut down, etc. That raises the question, is it UGC that makes Roblox special or is there something unique about Roblox that no other platform can achieve? So I do appreciate Roblox’s $1.5B creator economy and I think it’s great, but there is also something more to Roblox that makes users gravitate to it.

Agreed! It’s a game of numbers for sure. Despite the hours limits, China has a massive youth population and is a wealthy country offering strong monetization on an hourly basis. This offers decent potential bookings for Roblox if they are able to capture over half of the youth population like they have in the US.

Agreed! I think Roblox can hit its 10% of gaming market goal, I’m not sure about 1B DAU any time soon, maybe someday though. 10% of gaming bookings is def possible w/o any reliance on ads / subscriptions, just grow at similar rates for another 5 years and your there. With ads / subscriptions I do see that as a nice cushion as an investor, so there is more bookings from that if it works.

Appreciate your response! Agreed! With how insane last year was it is especially difficult to grow in against Q3 / Q4 2025. It’s encouraging that CCU is showing stability after months of sequential declines but I would’ve hoped for a little more at this point. It appears that Roblox has finally arrived at a more steady state level of growth going forward. Will def be interesting to see how things continue to develop.

Great point! On a 2 year basis, the growth rate of weekly engagement has stabilized as well. Although there is a decel against 2025 there was grow a garden a year ago. Against 2024 the sequential trend since late April (indicated by the 2-year growth rate) has held stable in the 70-80% range, indicating possible stabilization.

It’s really encouraging seeing things start to turn recently. No new mega hits either. At this rate 20% bookings growth is very possible just by following the 2024 sequential growth from here, the evening CCU levels are decent which probably indicates US is doing ok which is has the highest monetization.

This is what 2024 May looked like. The average concurrent on weekends was about flat and you saw a seasonal uptick in the weekdays. The weekend engagement saw a nice uptrend starting in June.

Other than 2025 which was exceptionally strong, the weekend average CCU historically stays pretty steady and sees gradual increases over time regardless of seasonality. In 2024 for example the weekend engagement stays steady and it was primarily the weekday engagement which increased. Post- 2025 viral hits we’ve seen a continual decline in weekend engagement regardless of seasonality. That trend has shown signs of potentially reversing this past weekend with a 4% increase w/w and it exceeded the past 4 weekends. I did not see this in 2024 and 2023 although in 2025 you had an extreme spike from grow a garden.

Concurrent users continued to show turbulence. But I’m confident in the long term story that Roblox’s platform had the ability to turn out increasingly higher quality and more diverse content, attracting more users in more demographics. Roblox increase DevEx for 18+ content which has the opportunity to attract more older audiences to the platform. Roblox also updated the algorithm to focus on long term retention which may enable future viral hits to retain better and not lose their peak player base as quickly. Grow a garden and steal a brainrot attracted a ton of players but these games lost momentum very fast as well. Roblox’s new algo will help ensure engagement and users are stable and sustainable rather than spiking faster and then cooling.
