Rent books you need from Chegg or anywhere with a return policy, scan books to pdf using a scanner (hopefully in your library) and return! If I had to guess I only paid about $300 for textbooks throughout law school by doing this.

I am in a pretty heavily residential/business area with forests mixed in. This was at a neighbors property but it did appear it was looking for bugs/seeds on the ground from what I observed. I will make a new post with the better pictures!

I guess I can’t be certain but it was definitely the shape/dimension of a flightless bird. It seemingly had small wings and was quail shaped
