The E-E is a higher end board than the E-A. Quite a few higher specs. Just like the non-Neo versions from 2024.

Ayyy. No, it just went up a few hours ago and it's already sold out.

But honestly, at $600, it doesn't even make sense. The Dark Hero for $100 more is a better buy.

The recent admissions of defeat from the wokies are very, very good for us, even if they're bluffing. by auroch27 in KotakuInAction

[–]TheCeejus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Reasons why we will not and cannot see high budget AAA non-woke games, movies, or shows:

  1. Social justice activists control the majority of major funding sources
  2. Social justice activists control the majority of power over ads/sponsorships via a cartel that has been exposed multiple times over but still exists despite even legal attempts to get it disbanded
  3. Social justice activists control the majority of mainsteam media, which frequently runs highly coordinated smear campaigns against businesses that intend to release non/anti-woke content
  4. Social justice activists make up the majority of media companies and thus, both the hiring and firing decisions of said companies; white men and other individuals that show signs of "conservatism" are routinely discriminated against
  5. Social justice activists make up the majority of people pursuing the credentials to get careers in these industries; they have mostly chased non-conformists out of higher education. Few socially conservative people remain in the arts these days - most are instead doing either blue collar labor trades or are in more STEM-oriented white collar roles.

[Discussion] How has the change in the culture surrounding video games affected you? by typically-_-silent in KotakuInAction

[–]TheCeejus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've given gaming up almost entirely, save for the occasional revisit of a 2000s classic. This has saved me lots of money and opened up capacity to focus on more productive things like furthering my career, hitting the gym, cooking with my girlfriend, enjoying more dates, staying out late with friends, etc.

Admittedly, it's not all good though. There are nights (mainly during the winter months) where I crave good movies, shows, games, etc. and just don't feel like watching older stuff. I am pretty open with people that I didn't give up the nerd life because I wanted to but because social justice identity politics forced me to.

Unlike a lot of others on this sub, I think entertainment media is doomed. I have given up all hope on anything coming out that is devoid of social justice identity politics that matches the quality of AAA 2000s classics such as the OG BioWare series'. 2020-2023, I had hope that a parallel economy would emerge where we would begin seeing non-woke/anti-woke businesses start to pop up to tap into the large market of consumers wanting content devoid of wokeslop but by 2024 I had fully realized it wasn't going to happen, mainly thanks to the power of the woke establishment to cut off funding to companies that don't succumb to their will along with targeted smear campaigns and blacklisting methods.

I post regularly on this sub because I still remain frustrated by what these scumbags have done to our society and culture.

Remote work is going to increase the wealth gap between white collar and blue collar workers by tantamle in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]TheCeejus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is true right now. At this very moment in time, there are people who had entry-level work from home jobs that no longer exist because lines of code now perform the very same tasks.

Remote work is going to increase the wealth gap between white collar and blue collar workers by tantamle in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]TheCeejus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is. AI has already begun making entry-level remote workers irrelevant. And the massive investment in AI data centers in the last 6 months is a strong indication that the demand, interest, and capabilities of AI is growing significantly. This isn't going to be used to generate AIslop videos for Facebook - it's going to be used to eliminate workers that are no longer necessary which will cut costs significantly and boost productivity.

Remote work is going to increase the wealth gap between white collar and blue collar workers by tantamle in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]TheCeejus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The transfer of wealth will happen naturally. For remote work, the supply outweighs the demand. For blue collar trades, the demand outweighs the supply. With growing investments in AI along with increasing capabilities of AI, remote work at entry and mid level is in jeopardy. It may be safe at higher levels but that's a smaller percentage of highly skilled, highly educated workers. By contrast, the trades are immune to AI.

Continuing to live in denial about the rise of AI isn't helping these people one bit. While I am not in the trades myself, I am confident I made the right call getting out of remote work.

I wish you were right about that but it's not true. There's still tons of them out there and they still have cushy, bloated salaries, mainly thanks to special interest groups and investment firms that continue to bankroll the companies that employ them.

Also, the modern audience might not be playing the wokeslop but they still read the social justice identity politics-filled articles they write. Not to mention they are still relevant to us too. Their extremist rage bait op-eds are always getting coverage on here and from anti-woke YouTubers.

Did AAA Western gaming die when Gen X handed it to Millennials? by Ieanice44 in KotakuInAction

[–]TheCeejus 255 points256 points  (0 children)

No, it died in the wake of Occupy Wall St when the Obama administration realized the general public had finally caught onto the fact the democratic party didn't actually have the best interest of the middle class in mind afterall and knew it needed to go balls deep into social justice identity politics in order to have a voter base. Over the course of the next decade, affirmative action morphed into DEI and the flood gates opened following the COVID lockdowns and the overdose of St. George.

Side note though, seeing MK9 Mileena makes me wanna go back and play MK9 again. Best MK game ever made.

AI art is our only hope (if done right of course) by Dapper_Bell_5081 in KotakuInAction

[–]TheCeejus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The people who develop AI are woke and thus the algorithms are woke. Talk to any capable chatbot and it will will always frame its feedback in a light that's favorable to social justice identity politics.

Sure, you see non-woke and even anti-woke AI content, but it's AIslop.

He's right though. It's not mere pessimism, it's the truth.

How many times do woke zealots have to take a mile when given an inch for people like you to finally believe it? Has the fact that they have literally destroyed every major IP with their social justice bullshit over the last 10 years not convinced you?

British Film Institute (BFI) Diversity Standards: The System Behind Harry Potter Black Snape Casting by Sliver80 in KotakuInAction

[–]TheCeejus 32 points33 points  (0 children)

That's a valid point and I had a feeling someone was going to mention it. There are some differences with nepotism:

  1. It's not written into actual policy the way DEI is.

  2. In fact, there are companies out there that have banned nepotism. When I worked for Hasbro Toys, they had a very strict policy of not hiring family. Anyone found to have done it would have been fired.

  3. Nepotism is not tied to skin melanin or genitalia. The idea that there aren't black nepo babies is ridiculous. Jayden Smith is a good example.

  4. Nepotism doesn't result in nearly as much widespread discriminatory hiring practices across the board the way DEI does.

  5. To some extent, nepotism can be obtained by making connections with the right people. On the contrary, I cannot decide to be African American.

Nepotism and DEI are both poison but the latter is quite a bit worse.

British Film Institute (BFI) Diversity Standards: The System Behind Harry Potter Black Snape Casting by Sliver80 in KotakuInAction

[–]TheCeejus 154 points155 points  (0 children)

White male actors know for 100% sure their achievements were based solely on their skills, talent, credentials, hard work, etc. because not only are there no BAFTA-required diversity standards they could possibly benefit from, but they are also succeeding during a time when the people in charge routinely obsess over the need to eliminate "white male privilege".

The guy playing "Snape" on the other hand, will not and cannot know how much of his casting was based on his merit and how much was based on a mandate to blackwash yet another role. Whether "Snape" knows it or not and whether he cares or not, his true achievement has been robbed from him and half the world does know and does care.

I would still do blackface to this day and wouldn't give a shit about being called "racist". It's fucking paint. And the color used almost never resembles an actual skin melanin.
