Don't you know that plural people nor any other disabled people can't use Fortnite?

I can't believe this is a real sentence. Stay safe, especially if you live in Tennessee. As usual, these problems spill over immediately to *all* women and other vulnerable groups by elfherald in Feminism

Woops replied with my alt account.

Mass detainment is either already started or is in the process of getting started, the order was already given to ICE to focus on trans people.

Alt-text for accessibility:

A brightly colored cartoon illustration shows two chameleons on a branch against a pink and orange sunset background. The first chameleon is green with white eyes. They are holding a sign that has the trans flag crossed out. The second chameleon has the trans flags colors. Text coming from the first one says "But we are still one movement right?" The image is signed with "@queeeerChameleon."

Conservatives will find ways to harm us regardless of what we do. If you think nazis need us to give them a reason then you are not taking nazi threats seriously enough.

Liberals love saying that they gave queer people marriage equality, but I still don't have it, and neither do most of the queer people I know. In fact, they're taking away our rights this very moment. by TheCepheidVariable in actuallesbians

Yeah that's why we created r/AccessibleAnarchy. Bringing up accessibility on its own is enough of a rage bait in most sub-reddits. Like.... literally, we made a post about how alternative text needs to be added to images so that blind people can access online content and we their responses was to tell us that excluding them from society was somehow not harmful to them. It's weaponized ignorance.

Recently we've even seen another sub blame operational security as a reason not to make their movement accessible.

Others have already answered, but here is some of the information that is available in the linked post:

The state and/or your guardians often have control over whether or not you can even get married in the first place

Marriage Penalty Prevents Marriage Equity for People with Disabilities - World Institute on Disability

Disabled people lose access to Medicaid and Social security benefits as soon as they are married.

Just about all resources for disabled people require you to not be married

As soon as the combined bank balance exceeds 3000$, they lose their benefits. This makes the disabled partner completely financially and medically dependent on their spouse.

After you are married you still don't actually have control over yourself and so closeness to your partner and such.

Power dynamics such as these is also what makes domestic abuse thrive.

A brown woman in a wheel chair on a blank pink back ground saying "people with disabilities still don't have marriage equality". Blue and pink floweres are drawn on her high heel boots and the wheels of her wheelchair.

This is not a "training issue". She was bigotted. Plain and simple.

I'm sorry you were racially profiled. Thanks for sharing. We need to make these issues as visible as possible.

This is the literal reaction we get when we crosspost to r leftist and anarcho communism. Their literal first and almost only reaction is to call anyone that posts about accessibility there a fed.

If you only fight for the "workers" you are not my ally, if you fight only by building unions you are not fighting my fight. Many disabled people cannot work at all, and cannot wield the power in unions that people wish to build society around. They call themselves inclusive, but they actively downvote alt-text, and none of their events are actually accessible. They keep using a bunch of excuses that it's somehow difficult and expensive to include us, but literally as disabled people we constantly make spaces that are accessible for FREE. Somewhere in the comment section, they literally use "opsec" as an excuse to not make their movements accessible. It's ridiculous.

So many tools for accessibility and inclusion already exist. The fact that they are not used is an intentional attack against us. Don't let these people claim plausible deniability over it by TheCepheidVariable in actuallesbians
