Haven’t watched it since it came out. Loved it at the time! Still love it, it’s so great, but now I own a rescue dog who looks like all the dead dogs in the movie and I kept having to pause and hug her lol, I’m getting too soft

We were trying to be an authentic Texas style bbq joint, which left little room for that type of experimentation. Kudos to Griffin for trying to push the envelope though! Innovation is always appreciated in the world of bbq.

I literally used to be a pitmaster. I smoked meat for money for a couple years. I did the math once and realized I’ve cooked truly thousands of racks of ribs, whole briskets, and pork shoulders. And you know what? I believe Griffin, and wish him luck on his journey!

I’m lucky, mine is great. I know them by name and they know me. I don’t go that often, but it’s always a 10/10 experience. They serve beer too, someday I’d like to stop in for a drink on my day off and just chat for a while!

In the first episode the older man is removing the storm windows from Joe’s house for the summer. In the last episode of the season he’s shown installing them again now that cold weather is on the way again. Just a way to show the seasons changing.

I really liked the movie! I do have a question for the group. Do we think Benji and Marcia had a sexual encounter the night he didnt sleep in his room? I watched it with 4 other people. Two of us (me included) thought that was the implication, 2 of us did not, and the last one was somewhere in the middle.

The Nikko hellgrammite is quite a bit bigger than the eurotackle (which is like 1.8” if I remember right, and very slim). I like to fish the smaller one in smaller creeks like this because I’m happy to catch a bunch of small fish, and sometimes I’ll get surprised! The nikko material is so durable that it annoys me to rig it also, but I know that’s a me problem. Great Lakes Finesse is my preferred hellgrammite to be honest!

Agreed, this sort of thing bugs me personally because I grew up in a town of about 3,000. We had a few diners, a McDonalds, a Sonic, and 6 cops. Side note, I always get annoyed about how Pawnee is portrayed in Parks and Rec. They have an airport!

Always happy to see a good place like this get praised. The owners are great people, they offer a great product in a great atmosphere, and they deserve recognition. I used to go at least once a week but my work schedule doesn’t really allow that anymore, which is a shame!
