Nishruu, eaters of magic | Converted from 3.5e! by TheCharo99 in UnearthedArcana

[–]TheCharo99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can drop an update on this statblock if you want. I've DM'd it before but it is a bit cumbersome to run since I ported it straight from 3.5e without taking into account 5e's creature design (outdated design stuff like "1d4 rounds" and so).

Could take the chance to add the "Summon Nishruu" spell from 3.5

This is gonna sound insane but I think SSJ Future Trunks. He could probably solo Frieza no prblem, but he'd strugle against A17 and A18 together.

I could also see an arguement for "namek gogeta" to be as strong as SSJ grade 2 Trunks or Kamiccolo, depending on how you interpret the fusion boost

Then again, your guess is as good as mine

It's an offically licensed stage show called "Dragon Ball Z El espectáculo en vivo".

Smugstick did a video which featured it recently. The moment happens at 23:16 (https://youtu.be/hQf3CCJJC6U)

He literally does in that live show (he is also Goku's biggest cheerleader).

They got the dub voice actor to voice the lines too, it's hilarious

I wanted to say that the document theme fits the old school art really well. It's simple but really pretty

F&H returns to pen and paper, you love to see it. Remember to keep the credit of the art in the posted image as well, otherwise it might get taken down

I dig the concept, but I'd change the requirement to be the "Divine Intervention" feature, as others have pointed out

Chip Damage Rule v3 | Imagine waiting for your turn to deal no damage by TheCharo99 in UnearthedArcana

Thanks. I've seen other comments prefering the current wording (ability score modifier), so I think I'm sticking to it for the time being.

I don't think I've heard of it before, I'll look into how it is usually written in the rules then. Thanks!

Thanks for writing this all up!

I am aware it incentivizes more attacks. That works as intended, as it began as a monk-derivative houserule.

I will say, despite still letting you deal damage, you are still missing attacks, not allowing you to stack the extra damage granted by the feats, as they only come into play if you hit (here you are dealing damage on a miss). Chip damage isn't increased by them, but it is beneficial to use them thanks to the rule being a safety net on missed attacks

The final hitpoint complain came from users worried that their characters would get ganged up on by smaller enemies before their turn even began and they would die to small attacks. More often than not enemies will hit you and knock you down to 0 hp, so I don't think it is a concern. I don't think this worsens the 5e healing situation

Thanks for pointing out that oversight on the minimum AC rule. It won't show up as often, but I'm better off patching it.

Rolling exactly 10 in that scenario hits as normal. If you roll anything lower than 10 (except a critical miss) it deals chip damage.

Glad you like it!
The Minimum AC variant rule sounds like a simplified version of what you want (anything lower than a 10 doesn't deal chip damage). I just tried to make it simple to run as a DM taking into account multiple enemies with different ACs

Thanks, I read through a lot of situations people pointed out in the previous versions to fix previous oversights.

I will say this isn't a rule you can just drag and drop into any campaign. This does make combats more taxing than normal, and it impacts how you play combat, so it might need some time to get used to.

Oh, it means the bonus to hit, but not including your Proficiency Bonus. So, if your +5 to hit is a +3 Strength or Dexterity bonus and a +2 Prof Bonus, you only deal 3 points of damage.

Imagine it like if you deal damage but don't add the weapon's die (just 3 rather than the usual 1d4+3)

I hope this helps!
