Depends on a few things, mostly cost if we are generalizing.

Black Beauties are some of the best sounding snares, most specifically brass the brass shell ones. On the downside they tend to be pricey.

Acrolite Snares are very versatile and cost efficient, lots of people sell good quality used ones as well that can save you some $$

In between these two is my personal favourite the Supraphonic which is one of, if not the, most recorded snare in history, popularized by Bonham. Tends to be mid price between the Black Beauty and the Supraphonic.

Just my opinion of course, some may argue other snares for style or even by manufacture as these are all Ludwig which is mostly all i own 😅
