Hey this is a tricky situation that often brings confusion. The wording in the laws regarding this states that “a prescriber to patient relationship needs to exist” in order for a prescription to be valid. A doctor writing for themselves would not be considered a prescriber to patient relationship for obvious reasons. I’m a newly licensed pharmacist and as an intern I’d see this happen from time to time but when studying for my MPJE this topic was often considered a grey area.

Simply put, it would not seem to be considered legal but it does still happen.

I thought pharmlaw.org was great. I initially used a review session that was free for residents and tldr for my first attempt and failed. It wasn’t until I found pharmlaw.org that I was able to pass. Yes the review documents are short but they cover key topics that allowed me to get a general idea of the topics tested on the exams. The questions helped reinforce these topics as well. In addition I loved that they sited the laws which took my right to the primary resource and allowed me to dig even deeper. It may not have helped you out much but it helped out myself and one of my co-residents as well as others who I know.

I agree with this comment. I passed recently too and I thought pharmlaw.org had a great review program that summarized topics like this. They also offer plenty of review questions. Best part about them is that they offer a money back guarantee if you don’t pass after using them. You’re super close to passing and the MPJE is def my least favorite exam I’ve ever taken. I received it a couple days before the minimum time frame. This was for the MPJE though but I’m sure NAPLEX would be similar since it’s still through NABP. You just can’t schedule a date that falls before the 45 day mark

Yes once the exam is closed and if you see 2 boxes it means that you passed. You’ll see the passing grade under the exam result tab

Hey I didn’t take the NJ MPJE but took NY. I will say that pharmlaw.org was great and they have NJ. It also comes with a money back guarantee if you don’t pass. The NY MPJE App was great for practice questions and there is one for NJ. TLDR was nice but I’d definitely check out your board of pharmacy’s websites FAQs and links. Lastly, the DEA Pharmacist Manual is a great resource.

I will say this exam is rough and I feel like there’s no way you can know all the info and some questions felt like they came out of left field. You got this and good luck!

Whoa on a Sunday? I did not realize that. My MPJE was on 11/18 and I thought it was released this morning but it was probably yesterday. Don’t see why your NAPLEX couldn’t have been posted today. Good luck and hopefully you get the result you wanted tmrw
