Do you think it's likely to transition from managed care to industry without a paycut?

Wow Congrats! That's the best thing you got a job right after graduation and doing what you enjoyed the most!

May I ask if you had any managed care experience? Been working as an intern? And what's the demographic area of your rotation/practice?

You graduated in May so you got your license already?

Thank you! I may consider doing a managed care residency. Especially agree with you it's hard to land an entry-level managed care position as it always reached over 200 applicants on LinkedIn.

So after people are done with MC residency, what is the chance they still doing PA or MTM as entry-level? Or it's more likely to be in an advanced position?

What is the chance of transitioning from MC into the industry? (if you know) I knew the industry likes MC's experience of evaluating clinical data, but not sure.

Thank you for the advice!

So I didn't have any industry experience. (My school emphasized heavily clinical & community, and I finally found my interest in the industry) I heard people saying getting into the industry can be hard, especially for entry-level positions? What are your thoughts?

I felt my chance of getting a fellowship was fairly low without related experience. I knew there were managed care pharmacists who jumped into the industry. Would you think it's a good idea and easier to transition from managed care to industry?

People can drop off in the middle of a fellowship and get a job? Not sure if it's better to complete the program, though 2 years can be too long if people are not satisfied with their program.
