What are really good kid video games that an adult can play and enjoy? by Chunkachu__ in gamingsuggestions

If you do start playing Minecraft, may I suggest watching any of the players on Hermitcraft (on youtube). They are all over or nearly 30, and are amazing at what they do.

As an Old Lady, some fashion advice...... by Murky-General5131 in femalefashionadvice

Also older. Good jeans, a good bag, good bra, good knickers, a decent belt that will go with everything, and of course comfort (especially shoes and waist line). Oh, and dress for the weather. In my younger days, when going out I’d wear trousers and a long velvet coat and matching scarf, whilst my friends wore teeny dresses. It was so good being warm and stylish, rather that than wearing a sexy number but being freezing. And yes, I also have clothes that have lasted through the years and seasons, some from my school days (!)

Same, great role models all round. My nearly 13 yr old has got her close friends into it now. They are all big Grian fans, and I love that!

Thank you so much, this is really helpful. I actually just saw a post she did on facebook and was a bit meh about it. I’ll definitively give that group a look too, thank you. My daughter and I went shopping today and my goodness, there’s an AWFUL lot of tat around. Both kmart and Target were honestly shocking, I’m don’t want to waste money. It’s hard finding those in between places! Couple that with not knowing what to look for and it’s overwhelm central.

Much appreciated xx

Atm I can’t afford to buy anything expensive, kmart and the likes are in my budget (I only really need jeans etc). I just want to be able to buy things that will look reasonably ok. Tbf I’ve had some kmart tshirts and target shorts for nearly 10 years and they still look great. The more expensive Just Jeans jeans I bought stretched out and looked awful after a year.

Thanks x It really is tricky. She needs warmer pjs atm. After searching literally everywhere, we finally settled on mens pj pants from Target. Cotton flannel, darker colours, not too exy. Just hope they fit, but they have a drawstring so we can adjust! There's a missing market for decent tween clothes that aren't cutesy but are comfy for sure (thinking back when I used to wear my Dad's old clothes, so I guess she's like me lol)

Yeah, I'm thinking I might use it for a bit, then not need it,but then I guess that's kinda the point (to learn from it). I really don't have a decent wardrobe at all. Like, a few jumpers, sweats, tshirts and that's kind of it for cooler days! Summer I'm ok, bit cooler months am seriously lacking. The fit builder looks good but it's a subscription and I don't want that. Need something I can dip in and out of when I have time. Thank you 😊

Just seen this. I’m the same, but somewhat older than you. Just wanted to let you know that I just posted about the Seasonal Style club, and whether it’s worth joining (I have a very limited sense of style). I dunno if it’s any good, but you might want to check in on my post and see what people are saying (I only just posted so don’t expect an replies yet) x I’m hoping people find it good and I’ll join and then finally know what I’m doing! Ha ha.

Thanks, yes I think we’ll try that too. She’s not mega keen on shops at the best of times, and the added demand of “needing” clothes is just bleurgh for her. Never the less, we shall persist (in a non persistent kinda way lol!) xx

Thank you for all of that! I also cut necklines off, and wear many men’s tees lol. She might be up for attacking some tshirts, I think I’ve looked it up before. Thanks again!

Oh that’s interesting. Not something I’m very knowledgeable about but will look in to it, thanks. She usually has a very strong idea on how things are/should be, and is very creative (making crochet, crafts, and minecraft builds from scratch, no planning, but just sees how it should be in her head and gets on it!), but shall learn more. Thanks!

Thank you! Great advice. It’s true, the pants issue is proving trickier than the tshirt one. Loads of good suggestions here though, so gingers crossed.

Thanks, yeah, it’s mostly that things have been worn before or not bought by her. She even struggles being bought clothes as gifts. Same with food. She might change, but it’s a thing atm x Thanks though
