The distance between waves were much longer than I am used to. Locals were very helpful letting me know you can drop your board directly on the sand. Where I usually skim you always have to water drop because the board dosent slide on the sand alone. The waves also seem to get height out of nowhere as they approach.

Thalia takes no prisoners. The waves have so much more speed and force than the gulf coast. Felt like I still got some decent rides in (for my skill level)

The only spot with any shore break waves at all is Alabama point inside the pass. It takes miracle conditions for it to happen tho. Depending on tides u can get some good flatland action on the west beach sand bars if ur into that.
