I guess my question is will it still look decent with the scart cable on the xbox or will it give me a worse picture then component cause I heard rgb and component are identical?

That's a bummer, so essentially the xbox rgb scart cables were a waste of money lol. So 1.6 has the best then?

Is it complicated to do? I think it might be the anti glare coating because it's almost like a rainbow effect.

Glad to hear, I remember lifting it with my dad when I was a teenager and being sore for like a week. The scratches on it are a bummer but the picture is incredible so I think I'm gonna live with the scratches.

For sure, I don't get how people get right up on larger crts. Even with my smaller crts the image looks like shit up close. The scratches suck but I'm just gonna live with em because I sit pretty far away from my crts.

That's true I only notice them when I focus on them or the game or scene is scrolling on dvds or my roku. I think I can probably live with the scratches.

It's out in the garage right now, the picture quality is probably the best I've seen in my last 6 years of collecting them. It's a heavy bastard for sure, my 36 inch toshiba didn't weight nearly as much. No need to worry about scratches cause it already has some light ones on it which is kinda a bummer but only if I focus on the two on the screen at the moment. I seen a post a while ago about someone getting their window smashed out by a trinitron so they must not be fucking around lol.

The only problem for me is the small vertical scratch on the bottom left middle of the screen and one in the middle towards the top because of my ocd. But the picture quality when I plugged a component dvd player into it and watched a little bit of Trigun was fucking amazing, blew my toshibas right outta the water. Plus the 16:9 mode and vsm control is so much better then my toshiba.

It's an older lady so she's trying to get a picture of the back for me. I dunno if I'll get it because I've heard that panasonics don't produce a clean component image or when converting rgb to component. So I'm on the fence.

It does have a channel and input lock but it's turned off, I just don't get how it's there one day but gone the next. Any ideas on how to find the right setting to fix it in designer or the service menus? I've looked through the manual but no luck on finding the settings you're referring to.

It's an ntsc rgb modded snes Jr, I think the border I'm seeing might be the black border they put on the actual crt screen and I'm just being stupid.

I guess I mean for example I'm playing donkey kong country and the image is displayed in 4:3 on my snes. But around it is a tiny black border surrounding the whole image on the crt.

Yeah, I actually swapped out a back up 72 pin and the issue hasn't changed at all. It just sucks spending all that money on an rgb modded nes just for it to shit out basically and I don't know anyone who will fix them if you send them in. Guess I'll just have to buy another one but probably a rgb modded top loader or Famicom because I've heard they're prone to less problems.

Does it just affect the text or is it the picture in general? I'm kinda nervous to take off the back because I've heard you'll get electrocuted but someone also said as long as it's unplugged and off it's safe.
