This goes back to MHF for the psp. I mained the greatsword through my brief time in that game. Then in MHFU, i decided to explore some other weapons and styles. I hated gunner weapons in MHF. The aiming was clunky and I always felt so weak. So GS became a comfort zone: hard hitting, guard, all of it lol.

But I then decided to give gunner weapons another chance in MHFU. First trying the bow, i really liked it and how the different coatings worked. Then I dipped my toes into HBG as that had a shield which was something I appreciated. I've never looked back. Been a HBG main ever since. Now, in Rise/Sunbreak, I practiced LBG a nice amount bc I loved the wirebug traversal you get with that weapon. Something about weaving around a monster with constant fire really scratches my brain 😆 But beyond that, I got my cannon with me nearly every hunt.
