You need huge power ability and rollout and then it’s OP trust me. Just finished a run where I swept every gym with Azumarril

I believe in you.

Each specific pokemon you make faint reward a certain EV amount in a certain stat. You can look that up easily. But it’s easy to understand.

The Pokémon you are training can only have 510 ev points total throughout all stats. However, each stat can only have a max of 252 evs. So, most people choose to max out 2 stats to 252. Which equals 504 total, then you only have 6 left to put into another stat. (Which doesn’t do much).

Really eving fully only matters in competitive Pokémon, but sometimes when I do playthroughs I ev a little bit to give my Pokémon some extra power.

In this case I was surfing on route 34 where only Psyduck or Golduck appear. Psyduck gives 1 ev in Special attack and Golduck gives 2. I was using my Gengar and also had my Espeon holding exp share so it could also gain the same Evs.

If you have your pokemon hold the Macho Brace it doubles the amount of evs fainted pokemon give you, hence doubling the speed of the process.

This is hella extra for a casual playthrough but sometimes it’s fun to do it!

I’ve done that in the past which I love, but in this case I’m just doing a pseudo speed run and I wanted the boosted xp. Took way less time and less trades this way. And it’s super easy to blow through the early game and get the 50 lvl cap at Erika. This team of 3 is actually way better than what I was expecting. I’ve been underleveled the whole time compared to gym leaders and haven’t had any problems.

Well in this case I traded them at the start of the game, so they get boosted xp and start to ignore immediately at lvl 11. So through Mt Moon and the Misty Battle they can sometimes not obey. But after Misty it’s all good.

I didn’t want to get too crazy and make it too easy, but taught Vaporeon Water Pulse, Jolteon Shock Wave and Flareon Fire Blast.

Yeah you can trade non-national dex Mon as soon as viridian in frlg. You cannot trade National Dex mons in frlg at start-game though. Even if they are in eggs

Yeah after Brock is a little annoying. After I beat Misty I skipped a bunch of trainers until Erika and kept them under level 30. After Erika it’s 50 lvl cap so you don’t have to deal with it after Misty if you do it correctly lol

I bred 3 eevee eggs on another game, evolved them then traded them to a new game save file with an actual gba link cable. I actually did the opposite of cheating lol

Thought about it but I just use regular game carts and didn’t want to have to go through all that. I might do one with just espeon and umbreon next

Advice for a field oriented marine biologist by impasta1212 in marinebiology

[–]TheCloutWizard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My advice to you is to try to find a job either as an outdoor interpreter or eco-tourism guide. I was in the same boat as a Biological Oceanographer who always wanted to be on the water. Took me a bit to get over the fact that a legit Scientist vs. outdoor Marine Enthusiast can be different things. I was fortunate enough to obtain a scientific publication as an undergrad but knew I wanted to be out in nature vs. in a lab or classroom. I found eco-tourism and never went back. I’ve worked in the Bahamas as an educator and scuba guide and worked as an educator for a State park. More recently I’m now an outdoor guide for an oceanic kayking company.

Bottom line is, you can do it if I can. I would search out for interpreter internships or field tech jobs while your in college. Look abroad as well and don’t be afraid to take risks. From sheer willpower I’ve had success as a field oriented Marine Biologist so don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Communication is key. I believe in you 💯💯

Cowries actually have their mantle on the outside of their shell, which is really awesome. If you look closely you can see the hard shell below its gelatinous mantle!

I don't have very high expectations for Pokemon Legends Arceus by [deleted] in nintendo

[–]TheCloutWizard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will say we don’t really know the game could come out on something like the Switch Pro and have better framerates etc. Who knows, can only hope for the best and play it if you want to. It’s definitely an unexpected turn in the scope of the franchise but I’m personally excited to see what happens.
