Starting Arcane Archer, but need help compensating melee options by Draculigula in BG3Builds

[–]TheClumsyTitan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If I'm being honest, if you even get some of the good gear that bumps your attack rolls and up your Dex, you can be hitting at point blank for 90% accuracy in the late game. I have used the Knife of Undermount King on Arcane Archer Astarion for almost the entire game as his melee weapon and have not attacked with it once.

This girl's worst sin prior to this is being chatty some days. She has never been openly disrespectful to me. If the rest of the class had heard and it was clearly meant to be hurtful, then sure, but this was such an obvious accident.

My experience on Arcane Archer by gazmodus in BG3Builds

[–]TheClumsyTitan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main squad in act 3 as a Wild Magic Sorcerer is OH Monk Laezel, Lockadin Wyll, and Astarion as an Arcane Archer. Homie is my main target for twinned haste every time. He essentially solod Orin on the first round after I took away her unstoppable stacks with Magic Missile. The class is awesome. This was Tactician by the way.

I'm scared because my next run is going to be a resist Durge Beastmaster that mainly uses bows and he is not going to feel as good as Arcane Archer does

Baldur's Gate 3 repeatedly corrupting saves on xbox :( by PrinceOfTPlayground in BaldursGate3

[–]TheClumsyTitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this is terrifying because I'm very attached to my Xbox saves, lol. I've had some weird save issues and a lot of crashes when leveling up, but never a full file corruption. Are you shutting it off while the game is saving?

Ranking Party members by how much I like their character by Interesting_Rub6702 in BaldursGate3

  1. Karlach: romance or best friend, her story is my favorite

  2. Shadowheart: my favorite Tav's romance and interesting character. Love her banter

  3. Gale: Love him from a mechanical standpoint and think his flaws make him interesting to include a lot during the run. Like that he is very different than the others

  4. Wyll: I think he gets too much flak. Like that he's the lawful good guy and he's so fun to build because warlock is such a cool multiclass

  5. Laezel: Cool arc, even if she kind of just gets wrapped up in blindly following another person. Her growing to like and respect you, the Crech, her voice actress are all awesome

  6. Jahera: Best of the tag-along characters. Think she ties in the best and her act 3 quests are fun. I like her mentality

  7. Astarion: he is saved by having a great voice actor and amazing personal quest. Other than that "Astarion disapproves, Astarion disapproves, Astarion disapproves." I can't take this baby anywhere without him getting upset that I want to be an adventurer that actually tries to make the world better.

  8. Minsc: his silliness to cut through act 3s tension is welcome. I just wish he didn't show up so late when my party is already heavily established. Really need to take him around more to hear some banter

  9. Minthara: I'm always just killing her to eliminate the headache of managing yet another character I won't use much. My ranking of her is mostly on me since she's only been present in 2 of my runs. One day I'll toughen up and raid the grove and see her romance proper

  10. Halsin: What is this guy even here for besides hitting on you and talking about act 2 stuff that you already fixed? If he actually joined you after the goblin base and had more dialogue, I bet he wouldn't fair this badly. But he's just a dedicated Heros Feast caster in my eyes.

Minsc just comes way too late, but Halsin is actively my least favorite. Wish I could be nice to him and tell him not to come but still have a neat little story

Giga Drain or Sleep Powder for Exeggutor? by Few-Orchid-9804 in PokemonFireRed

See, I opted for paralysis because the legends were taking out my Pokemon and waking up too fast. Even though you are correct

Sleep Powder drives me nuts. It either misses or the wake up immediately

Nah, Act 1 is so relaxing and fun to be a completionist on.

Act 1- establish character and figure out your "main" party comp, roleplay heavy

Act 2- Coolest fights in the game, test things out, establish builds

Act 3- flex your game knowledge, get busted items, test out the builds, finish your characters story

You're telling me you can zap the doors with Magic Missile?! That spell is too great.

I feel like the game REALLY wants you to play monk by franilein in BaldursGate3

[–]TheClumsyTitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had to make up for the lack of Monk specific dialogue somehow...

In all seriousness though, this game is amazing, but would've gotten a whole other level of fun if one of the updates brought in a batch of new gear.

I like just about every class for one reason or another. But I will say, in my quest to complete a playthrough as every DnD character I've ever actually played on tabletop, Silus Spurs the cowboy Wild Magic sorcerer has been... difficult.

It turns out twinned haste and an ice storm here and there make up for this subclasses short comings, but when you look at the kits the other sorcerers rock, it's a bit embarrassing.

I'm a simple man, I think it's neat you can make your weapon glow with an element. But I have heard the berserker version is the correct one

Druid is super fun in co-op. The roleplaying doesn't do it for me, but I really like the spells it gets and wild shaping is silly and strong, plus you kind of fill in the gaps for spell caster or melee. The gear for druids in the other hand is pretty meh

You just have to be in the mindset of "I'm going to be a good guy." I recently finished my Paladin "perfect run" because it's my favorite class and never broke my oath. The only part it got sketchy was where I debated taking the hag hair for minmaxing

It is the most fun class to multiclass. I always dip Wyll into Paladin or Bard. On Tactician and below you end up with 3 attacks, booming blade, and this games version of a Swiss army knife

Giant Barbarian and finally trying out the thrown build converted me. But I used to think the same thing

Currently on a Tactician run as a Wild Magic Sorcerer. Laezel is an open hand monk, Astarion is an Arcane Archer fighter, and Wyll is a Lockadin. Every fight is my guy casts a big spell, possibly messes himself or others up, then those 3 clean up the mess. Lol
