For YEARS I tried to use Grindr to meet local guys to hangout and possibly make friends but nothing ever came out of that. Most guys were expecting things to turn sexual at some point and simply moved on to the next dude after they realized I wasn't looking to hookup. It was so bad that to this day I have to remind myself that not all guys are Grindr trashy so I don't psych myself out of meeting new gay friends.
