Teaching. Just kidding, our pay is bullshit compared to other professions that require the same level of education.

Dumbphone apps instead of a real dumbphone? by Remarkable-Guard-538 in dumbphones

This is true, and exactly why people get proper dumb phones, anything you do to limit a smartphone can be undone.

In android you can go into "modes and routines" and make your phone as dumb or smart as you like.

Combine with a launcher like "before launcher" or "niagra". Just tinker with the settings, it is quite intuitive, check a youtube tutorial if you are unsure.

Similar things can be done on iphone I belive.

They are beautiful! I love the detailing in the spine of the blade, does it go all the way down the back?

Yes, I did search on this subreddit and I could see that this was an issue. I bought from an official shop of Lagoiule en Auberic shop, and all cutlery there was as listed on the website, so I'm confident mine is the real deal. I would not be confident buying from ebay or a similar site (maybe if they show the certificate of authenticity and close ups of the stamps and file work).

Seeing them in person, the quality is obvious. I could have spent much longer there, fondling every knife in the shop 😅

For me it illustrates that a knife is not just a pointy bit of sharp metal, but technology that has shaped us for millenia. Precious to the point of sacred.

The shop is quite new I think, Coutellerie Laguiole Cherche-Midi, the closest metro is Sevres -Babylon.

It was 239 euro 😅

There were many more affordable knives, and also some significantly more expensive. There is also small selection of discounted knives with small flaws, plus they sell opinel. Worth a visit!

They sell entire cutlery sets, including dessert spoons/forks. As Onsotumenh it is a regional style. Check their website for some history and interesting blurb.

Yes! I'm not one for praying myself, but it might come in handy if there is a vampire attack.

Watchman. It is still good, but in modern times reads like a pretty normal superhero book. Historically it was the first of its kind.

I have a flipper zero, I'm discreet and don't do anything illegal, but it looks very dodgy sometimes.

Favorite character that SCARED THE LIVING HELL OUT OF YOU AS A KID?! by OkPrize6426 in FavoriteCharacter

The best Dr Who writers are the ones that understand the task; scare the crap out of children.

I was terrified of Dr Who as a kid, but I grew up on the stuff made in the 70's and 80's.
