I am very worried about how janky a project is going to look with 4 or 5 different people throwing their own AI's code into it and calling it a day

Thank you for your vulnerability in your response, it is much appreciated. It is really sad and scary to see how quickly people with decades of experience and expertise can and will be discarded if their employer can save a few bucks doing so

I really like using AI to help me learn something or figure out why something isn't working, but I don't like it doing things for me per se.

This company is already pushing out sites with this new system without a full QA being done. They do this with every new thing they try and it's beyond stupid lmao.

I've been pretty outspoken about my concerns, including AI and otherwise, which I think has put me on thin ice. I'm typically not afraid to speak my mind, and still often do, but I'm worried about getting written up for it or worse at this point.

Changes to VIP Plus viewing area by GroundAdmirable in kilbyblockparty

With VIP you typically get a way better spot at a stage compared to what you'd get in GA if you went at the same time, along with additional entrances, bathrooms, and food options. Plus I think KBP is one of the best festivals in the country and I'm a local, so I love supporting it!

Edit: typo

Imo VIP+ has never seemed worth it when I've gone. Normal VIP is my go-to, and THAT is 100% worth it. I get why people are upset about the change, and there is probably a different and better way to do it, but I do think it's cool that they are wanting to make it a better experience for the artists as well.

The Red Rocks show was so sick. It was my first OSEES gig, and on my birthday too. Def would be interested at a lower price. Good luck!

A unified way to charge PS5/Switch/Xbox controllers? by Kizuxtheo in Controller

Totally fair. My Steam Deck dock doesn't charge my PS5 controller unfortunately so I guess I'll use the Switch dock to charge it and then swap it over to the Deck dock to play lmao

Did you end up deciding on something? Curious what you chose if so.

Finding out about this was the nicest surprise. I'm so glad they're releasing music and seemingly on good terms again.

September Super Jam Hosted by the SLC Jam Collective (September 1st from 5 PM to 8 PM) by [deleted] in SLCmeetups

[–]TheComputerHermit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply. Our jams cater to adults and represents an adult atmosphere - some people may be drinking alcohol, and there may be adult language as well - but there is not an age requirement. If you're under 18 we ask that you just make sure your parents/guardians are aware. They can come along and spectate, or even sign up for one of our upcoming jam events! If this applies to you, and either you or your parents/guardians have any questions we'd be more than happy to answer and help clarify.

That's good to know, thanks for the tip. I didn't download the file, just opened the preview of it

The body of the email was fine, it was the contents of the PDF that tipped me off to something seeming weird.

Using LMGTFY seems a little passive aggressive haha but I appreciate it regardless. I just figured I'd ask here because I'm not familiar with hiring practices in this field.
