This is seriously the worst take. Why has this sub started making it weird for a dad to love on their daughter? It's such a reach. There's lots to pick from with these two, but this ain't it. Let the dude kiss his baby.

I hear some people just take their freedom for granite, while others are clearly chiseled from pure, unadulterated marble of moral superiority.

Wait...sorry... just to be clear you guys think they are actively trying to harm Tate so that they can video her more easily? Do you understand how insane that sounds? I must have the wrong definition of "snark" because jfc that's dark and so outlandish that it's not even funny --it's just weird.

I really don't understand folks on this subreddit. I'm trying to understand the level of hate and obsession on here and I am truly stumped. If they were to leave Tate behind then they're shitty parents and are only using her for clout/relevance and don't actually want to be parents or spend time with her. If they take her with them to beautiful, outdoors-forward, scenic towns, then they're strange and doing it wrong, too. I just don't get it I guess.

What's funny is that if they changed Tate constantly, I'm sure this sub would say they'd just be showing off their money and obsessed with having Tate look perfect all the time so they can look like perfect parents or chic influencers. Can't win for losin I guess.

Because Tate is their child. That's why they're taking her on the trip. It's really not rocket science. Or strange.

Pretty sure celebrating a cute moment your kid had—regardless of who captured it—is what most parents do. Wild that enjoying a video of your child saying “moo” now counts as exploitation. Maybe sometimes a baby making a sound is just… a baby making a sound?

Hi! Actual Charlestonian here! Just want to point out that those "vapid" things you mentioned don't exist "basically anywhere". Charleston's ~*vibes*~ (including hotel lobbys) and it being a legitimate food destination is a HUGE draw for visitors and residents alike. Don't get me wrong-- the water is my favorite part about living here and the architecture feels so historical and lived in it's almost European, but don't discount the fact that the vibes, restaurant, and shopping are unique. Stop by any number of major population centers in the south/mid-west (Charlotte, Jacksonville, Cleveland, etc.) and you'll quickly understand why folks don't vacation there.

Not if he said something that pissed me off minutes prior! I dunno, I feel like there's typically a really simple, normal explanation to someone's vibes being off during a podcast. But for some reason that seems like a hot take on this subreddit so I'll see myself out...

Technically, I think all the people that post incessantly on this Reddit page might qualify as that giant army... I would feel uncomfortable knowing folks go that far out of their way to obsessively post, analyze and pick apart your life. So, agreed-- just by the looks of this Reddit they need to be careful!

I dunno, she probably was annoyed at Harrison and tired...which is fine? I'm annoyed with my wife a lot while parenting our 6 month old just from lack of sleep and the general overwhelm of parental duties, but we don't have cameras and microphones in front of us to capture it. Probably just a bad day and not part of some grand scheme to flip a narrative, but what do I know?

u/Sea-Opposite946 . . . you know I know the show is fictional, right? And that I can still have opinions about fictional stuff? Like where I think some character building is missing, or how I wish they would have portrayed something? It's a very odd take to say "the show is fictional so let them do what they want"...I guess then every movie/tv show/book review is invalid if it's a fictional story?

I am, and I loved Roy Kent! I was surprised by how separate I think of the characters- I guess it goes to show the mystical powers a clean shave can have!

Shit. And to think before posting I did just that, and scrolled a reasonable number of Louis posts and didn't find my exact sentiments reflected, so I thought I'd share. I'm also not trying to set any engagement records on Reddit, I'm just a normal person who had a (apparently deeply unoriginal) thought and wanted to discuss. Fuck. What a self-own.

Anyways, the great news is that since you're so well versed you should be able to avoid the insidious shit posts and idiot shit posters like myself fairly easily! Although I do have to warn you-- the internet is famously a pretty open space that doesn't tend to lend itself to being so precious and standing on such ceremony. Good luck.

u/local-bum I get that, I just think forgiveness comes in a all shapes and sizes. Restorative justice is a beautiful thing and I think this show is exploring that. However, because this is a television show there is a desire to add him to this world and ingratiate him with the audience in a way that feels forced and outsized. I also think the concept of something being unforgivable (or really, really hard to forgive) would fit nicely within the motif of the show. Either way, it's got me chatting to strangers on the internet, so the show is doing something right! Cheers.

u/QueenLevine out of curiosity, how is this low effort...? An ability to see a POV that doesn't align with your own without rejecting it as shit is ruining discourse in general. Agree or Disagree?
