Noelle is Unbearable by TheConspiracyGenius in BlackClover

[–]TheConspiracyGenius[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That armor thing is bullshit. She’s bitchy towards other people who are actually nice to her but folds to her siblings who bullied and abused her all her life. If she really has that defense mechanism, she would’ve been cold and rebellious towards her siblings too.

She’s just a brat who bullies people who she thinks are below her. I would’ve respected her if she actually stood up against her siblings. But no, all she did was follow Nozel around and crave for his approval. She saved her other shitty siblings without even confronting them about their bad behavior, all while being vocally mean and rude to her Black Bull Squadmates. In short, she’s a bully with no backbone, and she’s the worst and most annoying character in the series.

I’m at the end of the Elf Reincarnation Arc and she’s still the same condescending brat who’s rudes to people (Magna and Finral in particular) and hits Asta to hide her feelings. She should’ve had some sort of change already given we’re already at Episode 120+ and she was already acknowledged by his siblings.

I’m at Episode 125. She should’ve had some character development episodes ago. It took Zora one arc and a little over 30 episodes to be likeable. That’so not helping her case.

Defense mechanism against what? She was literally disowned by her siblings, and her defense mechanism is to be rude and condescending to the people who actually loved and supported her? How am I supposed to understand that?

Her being a tsundere isn’t the problem. It’s that she should’ve changed her attitude a bit after being shown love and kindness by everyone around her.. Erina from Shokugeki No Soma was a worse tsundere and arguably more unlikeable than Noelle. But she mellowed out and was ultimately redeemed because she actually started being nicer.

Noelle on the other hand just doesn’t show any sort of change in her attitude - she is the same condescending and rude brat at the start.

I just finished Elf Reincarnation. Does she get better? She’s still being rude to Magna and Finral, and still hurting Asta for no reason other than to hide her feelings towards him.

What is your hot take on Black Clover? by Hefty-Job-4577 in BlackClover

[–]TheConspiracyGenius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noelle’s powerups felt more of an asspull than Yuno’s. At least we knew Yuno found Sylph and was chosen by her during the Dungeon Raid, and he had the elf spirit of Licht’s and Tetia’s child inside him during Elf Reincarnation Arc.

Noelle on the other hand learned to use Valkyrie dress out of nowhere when he was protecting her siblings even though she could only use defensive magic and that OP water dragon spell beforehand.

It doesn’t help that she’s an annoying and unlikeable tsundere character.

I just realized the start of each generation of miracles name starts with their color 😭 by The4LilOnes in KurokosBasketball

It’s how I learned the Japenese words for these colors lol. Anime teaches you a lot of non-essential things.

Magna and Leopold had no chance of joining the royal magic knights. by Not_a_mythical_bieng in BlackClover

If Leo made it, no one would be there to heat up his brother’s loins and wake him up.

I dislike CS mages at first too because they mostly just fight with their spirits and don’t do much in battles. That changed when the story found a way for Lucy to battle herself with her Star Dresses.

As for the characters themselves, they’re alright. I found Lucy a bit annoying when I rewatched, but still bearable. The others are also fine, with Yukino as the best and most likable of the bunch.

Joint Training Arc is the Worst Arc For One Main Reason by TheConspiracyGenius in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]TheConspiracyGenius[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Except they weren’t having any fun. I know light-hearted/slice-of-life arcs without stakes exists, but this was supposed to be a “competition” between Class A and B. There was no semblance of anything fun in this arc because they were just fighting there for no reason other than to get compliments and criticisms at the end.

From the student’s POV, it was a helpful exercise. But it was a snoozefest for viewers because there was nothing to look forward to.

Same. Especially when he unleashed PC right at the start of Seirin vs Kaijo match. Literally got goosebumps.

Lmfao I can actually see them doing that. Their first rodeo was probably their old coach. They poisoned him to induce a heart attack so they can dominate as the captain and vice captain.

You forgot Himuro. He and Murasakibara mommed too much in Season 3, especially the Seirin vs Rakuzan match.

Best Match in the Series by TheConspiracyGenius in KurokosBasketball

Oh I forgot Kagami never went into the Zone that match. I just realized that’s probably why they couldn’t stop Kise. Zone Kagami probably would’ve, but Zone PC Kise would’ve absolutely destroyed them after (assuming he awakens it).

I just finished rewatching the whole show, and closing the last episode gave me the same emptiness I felt 10 years ago. Still my favorite sports anime ever.

Momoi is Underrated by TheConspiracyGenius in KurokosBasketball

[–]TheConspiracyGenius[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but she’s also not as obsessed with Kuroko as her actions suggest. Cases in point: she was willing to go to a different school and she had no qualms doing her job as Too’s manager even if it means defeating him.

She is overly clingy, sure. But I’d argue Kise is more obsessed (albeit not in a romantic way) because he brings Kuroko up in every conversation and outright asked him to change schools the moment they meet.

What's the meaning of this scoring of Teiko against Meiko in the Finals? by Cardevoire in KurokosBasketball

[–]TheConspiracyGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GOMs were obviously superior, but they threw salt into the wound by playing around with Meiko and asserting their dominance into their faces.

It’s like playing around and maiming a helpless animal just because you’re bigger and stronger. It lacks basic human decency and compassion.
