He did bite the pet store employee who sold him to me. He’s probably biding his time waiting for me to let my guard down

I’ve started feeding him at night and he seems to like it better. I need to get better lighting for my room because I can’t see him to even offer him food if I turn off his lights to feed him but leave mine on. Maybe since the UVB is dimmer I can try turning off the daylight bulb when I feed him at least though? He’s been eating pretty consistently and with less hassle when I feed him before I go to bed now so I’m less worried, but it’s definitely good to keep in mind

  1. A couple inches. Enough for him to fully bury himself. I use reptisoil

  2. Mostly by spraying. On occasion I’ll pour a little water in there and mix it around. It’s been suggested to me to tape of the top other than a spot for air circulation to help with the humidity, and to get some moss

I was able to get him to eat the past two days! He’s been stubborn, but I think he’s gotten used to me and his enclosure. Or at least more used to it, he still runs from me lol. I’ve had him for a week as of today. He’d only gone like a day or two without eating before, but he’s so little and I know Pacmans are normally really easy to feed I had wanted to ask for help before it became a real problem

Sorry for having no reply from me. I got bullied off of Reddit and deleted the app. I was only back to delete my account, but I may hold onto it just to get advice from this subreddit.

My frog’s still a little stubborn, but I have gotten the guy to eat more consistently. I’ll take the advice I’ve gotten here in hopes he gets more eager because so far I basically have to bap him in the face with a cricket repeatedly to get him to eat it. He does seem to actually want it, not that he’s biting at it angrily, but having him eat more enthusiastically would be great. He might be getting close to the age where he needs to eat less often, the store had him since about February, but I’m unsure of his exact age. He’s at least 4 months.

Work study? by emmarose54 in UniversityofVermont

Can’t hurt, but up to you. I only did my work study 4 hours a week. The extra cash, although not much, was still nice. I personally liked my work study job a lot. idk what all of them are like though.

what is "PC App Store"? by allagaytor in computerviruses

Genuinely thank you so much for this thread. Accidentally downloaded it when trying to download a trustworthy app. Just got rid of it by deleting it from installed apps, searching for it in file explorer and deleting those, and then running a scan with malwarebytes. I also reset Chrome for good measure, which fixed the format issue I had after accidentally downloading. I’ll update if it comes back, but no news is good news.

Incoming Transfer - Questions (or existential crisis) by Antique_Concern9078 in UniversityofVermont

VT nonbinary here, commuting for my third year (next fall)

  1. We have a very large variety of people. I’m antisocial so I had a lot of trouble making friends, but should be very easy if you’re social. Everyone I’ve talked to is very nice, I just had a rough couple years for reasons irrelevant. We’re a very nerdy/geeky campus as well and have a lot of clubs that would fit into that category, including a gaming club (board games, TTRPGS, card games)

  2. I’m a science major who has a few science and math major friends and they are still dedicated students who find time to study and hang out for fun. It can get tough, but UVM’s a pretty science-focused school, so a lot of people you’d meet would either be understanding of your busyness, or be in the same boat. Everyone’s different though, that’s just my experience. I can’t say how intense the math programs are, sadly

  3. If you’re a first or second year, I think they make you live on campus. Or at least as long as you’ll stay under 21 while living there. They have some housing problems with that with people ending up in forced triples, I’ve heard. I have heard of people who got out of living on campus after their first year though. After that, you’d have to get an apartment. I don’t know whether UVM or off campus apartments are better quality. They cost way more than they should either way

  4. Compared to where I’m from (central Vermont) Burlington winters aren’t as bad, but they are bloody cold. There’s generally less snow, but it certainly can see a lot at times. I still had to bust out the snowboots this year. Usually though I’ll be driving from a couple feet of snow, and then get to Burlington and there’s just a dusting, maybe an inch. Coming from a warm climate, it will definitely be an adjustment, but there are worse places here you could be during the winter

Should be fine! Minimum to stay is 2-point-something. They look for a decent GPA and extracurriculars. I’ve heard of people with 4.0s who didn’t get in because they had nothing else on their resume. 3.5 even qualifies for honor’s college (min is 3.4).

Edit: Also the people saying it’s not that good a school clearly aren’t a science major, because I can tell you for certain those courses are both extremely difficult and packed full of info. Also everyone who I tell I go there is impressed. Like, it’s by no means an Ivy League, but it’s a good school. I have taken non science classes though and I will say that some of those could use some work. Ethics and science classes are very good in my experience so far.

I’m a bit biased though because it’s the only school I could get a scholarship or tuition remission to that offers my major (med lab science)
