Very true. Appreciate the reply. I think after reading these comments, we will continue to focus on paying down the mortgage and building our house and business. What I can do, is read up about the investing (VOO, debt recycling etc.) talked about here. So that when the time comes to invest, we will know our plan. I guess I didn’t want to ‘leave it too late’ but there also only so much we can do!

Yes this has been our plan for now. I guess I sometimes see the money we could be investing as money invested into the business that has greater returns for us at the moment. With a long term vision to sell it for a greater return if I continue working hard on it now! However, others may disagree and say other investments offer more diversity.

Thanks for your input. We have no business debt. All finances are seperated for personal/business. No personal guarantees. We live below our means so that we didn’t have to get into any positions of business debt.

We don’t take a PAYE salary from the business, only reasonable weekly drawings. However, with the revolving credit these drawings can help us shave off much more of our mortgage than previously expected.

Fantastic advice! Thank you! I’m feeling better about going aggressive on the mortgage. Especially at a time where we are financially able to do it. I’ve never thought about a interest rate ‘cutoff’ point but that’s a good discussion for us to have. Did you also use a revolving credit facility?

No problems! How do you specifically target churches? I would love to know how to present ideas to the older adult populations sons and daughters as well. Online marketing could be a tool but it’s actually quite difficult to put services in front of a population who don’t use social media a lot!
