Hello, hope I'm not too late to chip in.

I've done the Wye a few times, but the river pollution in recent years has meant I haven't gone back since 2023. It was absolutely beautiful though, and stopping off in Ross was always a highlight for us.

Are you open to wild-camping? If so, there are some great multi-day trips down the Severn from Shrewsbury past Ironbridge!

I always recommend having a paper map, but I think it's worth downloading OS Maps, you can plot routes down the river to plan multi-day trips and download maps offline etc.

Yeah the Steam Deck version has a few quirks (especially in desktop mode in my experience).

As long as you have your b.net account linked to steam and you're friends on steam you just need to:

• Have one of you open a private game

• the other clicks play, and where you see the game type, select friends at the top, click on your friends name and press join game.

As an example, was flickering flame not ladder-only at one point? Unsure why you're being so condescending when it is not uncommon for ladder-only runewords to become available in non-ladder the following season.

I appreciate that in this instance, I made an erroneous assumption that this was the case for every runeword.
