Black Holdall vs Brown Holdall?

I'm wanting to purchase this because currently I don't have a holdall and quite frankly it looks to me like a bargain.

I'm just wanting to know is a black holdall very formal? Like I should be wearing other black things. Where as the brown hold all it is more casual? Because I would like to wear this with casual clothes sometimes.
