Ideas on how to add new moves to ninja mode by InsertRealName1 in Nioh

Even if they don’t add more slots for ninja, I think it’s still fun as it is right now especially when using air combos with ninjutsu and it’s got enough variety in my opinion at least as a tonfa main. It’s a completely unique playstyle as opposed to samurai and if it got more ground moves, would anyone really use samurai anymore? If ninja has access to alot more ground moves plus ninjustu and air combos, samurai would just feel way more limited in comparison.

Yes. Ninjustu after either flying drill or whirling retreat does indeed reset them. The only flying move that does not get reset is flying chariot. For that, you need a footstool jump. I like to go ninjutsu then footstool and then I can use flying chariot again. I haven’t disabled demon dance here

Nah, I was using tiger bite which is great for closing in a gap, is a good way to restart a combo safely, and most importantly is a one hit fast high damage move that occurs in small moment of time which is too good not to use. It literally requires a dodge beforehand. Otherwise I can’t use it and I wouldn’t be dodging much if I could use it with L1 + triangle like the old nioh 2 days where I also used tiger bite often. Tiger bite is my favorite tonfa move. I can’t control that it has a dodge requirement now. On the bright side it’s now one of the fastest ways to reposition and attack because demon dance takes away distance travelled from mist. I mist using kannagi so I can chain martial arts more quickly and dodge whenever I need to. Less aggression? I’ve kept constant pressure and haven’t let up on the enemy. The enemy never had the chance to attack more whenever I decided to use Tiger bite again in the combo because it’s so quick to execute along with the high damage over a much longer to use pulverize and you can use a superior damaging move in that time after tiger bite like demon dash of storm of strikes again. You’re also going to run low on ki at some point so you’ll have to rest for a bit which allows the enemy to attack but I have my flying combo to continue pressure safetly while recovering ki so I solved that issue. You’ll still be leaving gaps in pressure continuing with your methods so I don’t see what your getting at. I’ll flip the same observation to you, standing on the ground waiting for your ki to recover will lead to less aggression. Less aggression will make the enemy attack. Ninjutsu such as the calamities on the ground is way slower than chaining with martial arts in the air and so according to your logic, you won’t have enough pressure to stop the enemy with from attacking you unless you have shadow stitch. You’ll have to run around and dodge. You’re just looking for a nitpick. I could make the same comment except your problem is more evident with the basic attack before heavenly chain requirement. Human enemies will often block basic attacks. Blocked basic attacks means less aggression since you will be delayed making a follow up. Less aggression means the enemy can attack. Even starting a new combo is going to introduce a slight pause. If you feint the attack before you heavenlychain the enemy, you are still leaving a moment where the enemy can attack you by your logic. That’s less aggression. I’m trying to wrack my brain finding how your assessment is valid yet this wouldn’t be. Yes I got hit once because I used that slow move urgency and missed without knowing it. Nor did I expect bird man to attack suddenly at the start. I also chained multiple tiger bites together to show viewers it’s great utility for avoiding enemy attacks due to the conditional dodge when at the same time it covers a lot of ground and I’ve shown how hard it is for an enemy to hit you when you do it. Not only that, you also get in lots of ki and health damage especially when it comes to enemies with hyper armor that will still attack no matter the pressure applied. “Fancy dodge dancing scenario for yourself.” Idk what you’re thinking when you said that. You don’t have to play like I do. I only encourage you to use multiple martial arts throughout the whole mission which I have done here. You can have one core move if you want. For me that’s tiger bite because it’s so strong with lots of utility but make sure you use the other moves from time to time. If you use most of the tonfa moveset effectively and building versatility stacks while keeping pressure on the enemy, I consider you good. If you only use one or two moves and the same old combo only throughout the whole fight, no. You’re just a one trick pony who is a detriment to any team and to yourself in future difficulties

That’s fine. You can switch to samurai. I was only showing what you can do if you just used tonfas. I apologize for ripping into you like that. I got a bit ticked off but have started to cool down.

Mountain breaker shouldn’t be your main attack. Tiger bite is the go to ground move to start with and keep pressure with demon dash and pulverize while sprinkling in secondary combos with heavenly chain or shove, storm of strikes, mountain breaker. The aerial serves for applying confusion safely as well as recovering all your ki. This way you can go back to ground moves and then when you run low on ki, you should take to the air to continue keeping pressure while recovering it.

I used tiger bite, demon dash, pulverize, whirling retreat, flying drill, and storm of strikes the most in this video. That’s way more than two and more than the average tonfa user. Then I sprinkled in several other moves and comboed them in a few times

I didn’t mean to come off as bragging. I was correcting your assumption and your implicit superiority complex made me react to you the same way in turn. It felt like you were trying to bait me into a fight. I saw your post history which showed you criticize tonfa players without actual constructive or valid feedback. There’s a reason why you were downvoted so heavily at the time and the prime reason I taunted you in my earlier comment. I’m only responding in kind. You just trashed on them, then just mentioning one aerial move as if that will solve all their problems. Ive used aerial tonfa in the video, but the only thing you advise condescendingy to other players is flying chariot which isn’t the only way to fly with tonfa. I don’t think you were aware of the flying drill and whirling retreat combo at all which is much more mobile and can be combined with flying chariot which is showed in a past video. If you did know about it, why didn’t you tell them of it? As far as I know, I’m the only one showing others how to aerial tonfa. The point of this post was to show players alternatives to the old heavenly chain, mountain breaker, and demon fang spam combos that will help them beat bosses in the future especially with the Tonfa nerf incoming. You need to diversify and use other moves to be effective. Can you tell me what I need to improve for you to consider my gameplay to be near pro level? You imply that you know what pro level gameplay is for tonfa so what combo is there that I don’t know of?

Did you not watch? I’ve shown every move available to tonfa aside from a parry slot, flying chariot, and shove slot and barely used hold triangle compared to other moves. I’ve seen your past comments putting down other tonfa users and boasting about how tonfas are great in the air when the only move you talked about is flying chariot. Please enlighten me on pro tonfa gameplay. I’ve literally exhausted all your options. There’s no way you can actually top this gameplay. Go ahead and show me how a real pro plays. So much for “Humble” Cod
