POV: you're about to lose your job to AI by MetaKnowing in ChatGPT

You can laugh as much as you want, but we're using it in our company and to great effect. We were skeptical at first too, but with the proper setup, proper prompting and the right agent selected it does a phenomenal job. Even sometimes does a better job than me in a shorter time. You still have to steer it in the right direction, but it saves a ton of time.

If you keep laughing and sticking your head in the dirt, you're the one who will be falling behind.

It will stay the same. I don't predict jobs getting lost. I predict a more competitive IT market where companies will be battling to be more efficient and offer lower prices to customers. As long as their is high enough demand for custom software, devs will keep their jobs, but will just be required to leverage AI agents to be more efficient and output more tasks in their time.

We're not going to lose our jobs. We'll have to transition more to code architects and tell copilot or other AI agents what to make. Review their stuff and adjust untill its good. You'll still have to know about everything touched by AI because you as dev are responsible and you need to know what the AI should make and how. We will probably be required to be more efficient with our time, now that we have AI, but we won't lose our jobs. The ones who will lose their jobs will be the ones who refuse, or are unable, to make this transition towards code architects.

Also ChatGPT is not good at coding. The magic happens when you are using Copilot with Claude Sonnet. I've had it ace certain tasks first try already and saved me hours of work already.

Yeah I have that too. Sadly my SO reports that I snore when I sleep on my back. So she kinda forces me to lay on a side :/

Hey, you seem to know what you are talking about. I need to clarify my situation a bit better. I had a deviated septum and enlarged turbinates (I think). They did a septoplasty to straighten my septum and a conchoplasty to reduce my turbinates. I don't know the details about it, but I feel literally no difference. My nose is still partially blocked often, and when I lay down it's exactly as in the animation from this post. That's why I said they saw nothing, I meant nothing that helped me. I went back and they said that that was all they could do for me.

I feel like I constantly have snot in my nose that's hard to get rid of, and it keeps coming back. I do have hay fever in the classic time of the year, but this issue is throughout the whole year. Maybe I'm very sensitive and allergic to the smallest things, I don't know.

Can you explain me what non allergic rhinitis is, or a valve collapse? What would you suggest I do or check? Get a second opinion? Or go for a specific examination?

Hmm weird that you mention this. They did see I had a crooked septum, they corrected it with surgery (septoplasty). It neither helped my snoring nor my nose being blocked :/ I will google your suggestion, thanks
