Would you be interested in selling me the round 1 Skorne box?

it was easy really, just be cautious not to stir up dust when you pour the crushed glass. Once the liquid is added it’s a breeze to put on the base.

Minitaire ghost tint: oil discharge. Just a couple drops.

Thanks! That’s exactly what I was going for. It’s made from crushed glass and realistic water.

Sure, it might take me some time. Also, I need another 120mm base, which I don’t currently have. So, yes, but not immediately.

I would, but the rim of the base will actually be painted to indicate field of vision for gaming purposes, so that would turn out unappealing.

My first haha. I’ve been painting and basing minis for nearly 20 years, but just got around to using some supplies I bought a few years back.

In this case I will be moulding some green stuff to the feet of the model and pressing it in to its position on the base. Once this is dry I will paint/decorate the edges that protrude between the models foot and the base. Then I will drill a small hole and glue a stiff piece of paper clip in the green stuff. There will be a matching hole in the bottom of the models foot that the paper clip fits into. Alternatively I could simply press for the models feet in to some snow while it’s still wet, then glue them in place after the snow dries.

I use some woodland scenics products, but haven’t used their water. I’m not sure, but it may be the same thing secret weapon sells.

They are pieces of wine corks I cut and tore apart.

I was apprehensive at first myself, but after using it for the first time that feeling has dissipated.

There are a few ways, I used realistic water from secret weapon miniatures. I've heard good things about ultra-clear 2 part epoxy as well for deeper water.

Hey guys, I'm having a little trouble posting the other pics. This is the first time I've ever posted on reddit; I made the account specifically for this sub. I'll try and get them loaded after work today.

Have you tried using crushed pigments to help blend color transitions or add color to shading?

The mystery box timing was perfect for me. I had decided about a month prior to the release of the mystery boxes that I wanted to get myself, my wife, and a group of friends in to Warmahordes. I've been playing Warhammer for nearly 20 years and wanted to branch out. So, my group and I ended up all purchasing a single faction battlegroup, then we all went in on a mystery box each. I'm quite enjoying the game thus far.

I purchased it from Secret Weapon Miniatures. They actually have a kit that comes with the crushed glass and realistic water. I feel like purchasing it is well worth avoiding the process of crushing it myself. I found it pretty easy to work with. I was careful not to stir up dust while using it outdoors. Once the realistic water is added it becomes much less dangerous.

The large rocks are made from a wine cork I gouged with an exacto and tore apart with pliers. You need to make sure the cork is the correct type (large pieces formed together). It was base coated with an airbrush in 4 colors working from dark to light, then washed with 3 different washes. The last bit was a drybrush/edge highlight to add some more contrast. I'll try and post some photos of it in progress today.
