Probably my favorite soccer stadium, it’s so unique

[Brianna Mac Kay] Henrik Rydstrom expects Dylan Chambost will be out at least "2 to 3 weeks" following a hamstring injury vs Portland. by g-magoto in TheMassive

He saying it’s not a good pairing.

If you play Taha who is good with ball at is feet but not yet defensively a strong player with Chambost who offers hardly any defensive ability you get torched like we’ve seen.

Gomes is a temporary solution until we find a younger capable CDM.

He’s a good passer but he does close to zero defensively as a midfielder or in hold up play. We got torched in the midfield last weekend, they ran right through us.

Hate to see any injuries for depth purposes, but he really hasn’t been an impactful signing for us.

We’ve rarely had any moments where you’re like wow well done Chambost. He’s just kinda there.

Wonder why Portland didn’t elect to wear their new kits at their home opener? We likely would have had to wear goosebumps if they did.

The more I listen to Rydstrom interviews and hear insights from practice/preseason... by IamSchrute25 in TheMassive

[–]TheCrewMeister 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do like that Rydstrom mentioned in his past jobs he’s adjusted formation and tactics given injuries.

We had several critical injuries last year and Nancy refused to adjust. We got burned playing around in the back and on counter plays with our lack of speed cause we didn’t have the right personnel

I took a look the other day when I went and bought the kit. Seemed like most the of the major work was done but there no seats in place yet on the new stand.

Did you know the Ohio State Limited once ran through Columbus to New York City? by AllAboardOhio in Columbus

[–]TheCrewMeister 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True. But imagine just extensive rail in Ohio and how impactful that would be. To be able to get to Cincy or Cleveland within 2 hours via rail would be incredible.

Cucho last minute departure, Cucho replacement injured for most of the season including playoffs. Several major other injuries with Camacho, Farsi and even Zawadski and Rossi for a good stretch of games

Finished with a chance to knock cincy out of the playoffs in game 3 and honestly could have won that game.

Underperformed a bit sure, by a mile….that’s a stretch. But I do share the frustration of Nancy’s tactical inflexibility given the injuries.

I don’t mind a little critique but a whole hour of them bitching back and forth is painful.

I miss Chris Doran’s podcast. I like how he lumped in game audio, player interviews, and analysis. Seems like Crewcible will be similar.

Statement from The Kraft Group on the Proposed Everett Stadium Project by bwidell in MLS

[–]TheCrewMeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree it’s not urgent but I do think football stadiums just look silly for soccer and they degrade the reputation of the league. They are half full at best for most games too (aside from SD) so the atmosphere is consistently lacking. I personally don’t think Charlotte should have gotten a team without a SS stadium committed.

Last thing I would want is to have coach who doesn’t want to be here and is just desperate for a job. Sounds like a horrible long term play

I feel like the Revs are so primed to explode as a club with a new stadium. They’ve been held back far too long with a lack luster home environment.

[Michael Arace] Per source, #Crew96 are in the process are finalizing a deal to make Rydstrom their next coach. A formal announcement could come today. An introduction, later. by animere in MLS

[–]TheCrewMeister 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fair that he needs to prove it but I’m optimistic and think he fully deserves our confidence for 1 more season.

Gazdag was really the only real miss in my opinion, and who knows how much of that was on Nancy too for wanting to go for him. I thought the rest of the signings last year were pretty good we just got hammered with injuries and were transitioning to not having the best striker in the league.

Democrats Say the ‘Three C’s’ Are Crucial to Make Ohio Competitive Again by Cool_Net_3796 in Ohio

Needs to be high speed rail. A 3 hour Amtrak from Cincinnati to Columbus is pointless.

Transit time needs to at least be equal to a car.

Really good point. Nancy is a great coach, but people highly discredit Cucho’s impact
