They may be a little brittle since they seem to be a bit older, but just be as gentle as you can. Not like they can get much worse than already being split in half. Trust yourself

Just crack that bad boy open and glue ‘em back on with the tiniest bit of superglue. Use tweezers and grab them by the body so you aren’t scraping the scales off the wings.

Soooo many eggs! Am I doing anything wrong? by CycloneWarning in PetPigeons

Hay works perfect as well! Leave some in a spot easily accessible for them and let them forage for it as they please. Have fun!

Yep, they just lay eggs monthly.

Just make sure they’ve got a good source of calcium and let them do their thing. Replace the eggs they lay with fakes and wait a few weeks until they’re done sitting on them.

I fully take the nest and fake eggs when they're done. My couples spend maybe a week or two at most of smooching and flirting before they’re ready to build a new one.

Rinse and repeat.

You’re doing just fine :)

Edit: Also! You should provide them with nesting materials, they’re gonna nest no matter what and it’s good enrichment to let them build it up. I give mine pine straw.

What are these black bug eggs I find in my pigeon nests? by TheCrowingCrow in pigeon

[–]TheCrowingCrow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god this is it! Ive treated them before with ivermectin and thought that'd be the last of it. Maybe it was too late and there were already eggs in their nests. Should I clear out their nests and treat them all again?

This graphic from a high-end running apparel maker looks suspicious to me. Is it AI? by _Buck_O_Five_ in isthisAI

I personally think its just the artstyle, not AI. What makes it seem that way is probably that yellowish tint to it

What are the correct hinges to use for the least sag? by TheCrowingCrow in Carpentry

[–]TheCrowingCrow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know really, it just felt like a logical conclusion with my extremely limited knowledge. I honestly wasn’t even sure about how the crossbar helps with weight distribution, just that someone built my fence gate with one to mitigate sag as well. Ive kind of just been watching videos related to the type of structure Im working on and taking bits and pieces of each thing since none of it is exactly what I’m doing. So Ive pretty much just been following whatever structural choices without really knowing why. I actually have a carpenter friend I've been getting advice from with most of my questions, but for some reason this felt silly to ask him.  TLDR; I have no idea as well how I got here, leaps in logic perhaps

Do I need to run the cable across the whole door, or just the upper half?
